Hood scoops

Anyone have a bigger hood scoop for the R56? I'm having trouble finding one...I searched the dealer directory but I can't find any pictures of them on the cars. So if someone has some pictures of theirs it would be really cool if you could show me. Thanks!

From what I've seen in my own searches the R56 does not have that as an upgradeable part yet =/. Gunna have to wait a little while longer, only thing I've seen is for the older models, or just replacement scoops for the R56.

i know Palo uber offers a carbon fiber one for the r56, but i would never buy from them due to poor quality and reports of scoops breaking.

A few of the japanese companies make them.....so it should only be a little while longer before the US vendors start offering it

Part of the reason nobody is offering them is because technically, the R56 hood scoop is "non-functional", unlike the R53 hood scoop.

Adding a larger one won't really do you any good unless you have a ram air setup like the M7 AGS-R.

I would think the best place to take air in (especially since the air intake/cleaner is on the back side of the motor) would be a cowl induction hood. Much higher air pressure at the base of the windshield then there is at the scoop area. Maybe something to think about......

Just so everyone knows this is just for asthetic purposes. Nothing more. Also just so everyone knows I did install I Alta CAI.

If it's strictly for aesthetics I'd go for the JCW CF one, especially with your exterior.

Also with whatever scoop you use, be sure to remove or dremel out the holes in the plastic insert. If not you sacrifice some performance. As long as you do that though, your good. Not even Adam has done anything to modify his hood scoop with the ALTA CAI other than removing the insert. So I don't imagine that opting for a larger one would reap any benefits.
