how far out on the island are you? The US MINI club is long island based and then MINY (
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=113214 ) NYC based... I have to see that in person!
I didn't notice in the first photo that you had NY plates. US MINIs monthly meetings are actually held @ Habberstad.. usually the 1st sunday..

No kidding. I guess for a primer'd car it looks good. I'll pass if that is considered finished.
No offense intended phantasms. Not my cup of tea.

Pure sex. Have you considered adding gloss black pinstriping to the outside of that stripe?

I think that it looks badasss! I have a soft spot for flat black cars and my father thinks that I am crazy for wanting to paint my red pickup flat black.

Very nice! Fireball Tim went with a flat black with red combo on the R56 project car they used on Street Tuner Challenge.

Yes, he does. Did I mention that the last Studebaker he built was painted...flat black?
This was before the pinstriping but the final color was flat black.

Oh, definitely! The color combination is the same, but the overall look is completely different.
I do like the flat black, though, in both cases.

I think it is pretty neat. Takes the black-out thing to a whole new level.
I'm still waiting for people to start using black duct tape to attach pieces of cardboard over important styling details to make their cars look like blacked out prototype test mules. It has to be the next logical step in extreme de-chroming. . . .

a Subaru guy coated his leased STI in RhinoLiner, with orange line graphics. It looked surprisingly good.

Some guy at a car show this summer. I guess you would never have to worry about getting swirls out of your paint.
