Rear Seat Delete Shape Question?

Can someone please tell me if the rear seat delete is straight, or if it curves like the actual backseats do? I have an idea to make my own but want it to fit really well. Maybe if there is someone in the Orange County, CA area that could let me take a look at theirs to see what exactly I need to do for this. That would be awesome.

Happy Motoring,
Kyle

It's kind of trapezoidal. It's longer in length (bonnet side), shorter in length (boot side). You want measurements? I can get some in the morning...

Make a cardboard pattern

I made my own. It wasn't difficult just made a cardboard pattern like you measure for floor tiles (one over another). Then I cut it just under size and wrapped the padding and carpet around an stapled on the bottom. It fits nice and snug, no gaps at all.

See pics in my gallery.

WAAAY off topic, but your "shining the low parts" pic cracked me up.
That's awesome!

Yeah, making a template is sort of my back up plan. I really want to do a little of both. Try to get an actual rear seat delete pattern, and take my own. For what I want I think I will need to be pretty close with all the measurements and patterns. Thanks, for the info too.

Here ya go. Sorry it took a while, and for the drawings looking like ***, but I hope you get the jist.

Here is the aerial view.

Here is the side view.

The front lip is 1.75" tall. and the back angle in the above picture is the tab that sticks out in the first picture (3" x 2.5"). This is where the bolt goes through that held your seat bracket to the frame.

Hope this helps. My RSD kit is also carpeted, so that might change the measurements a little, too.

Thanks for the measurements. This should help when I start to work on my own. Mine won't have carpet though.
