NEED MCAW INSTRUCTIONS!!!

I just purchaced a MCAW Deluxe circut from outmotoring.com, aparently the last one, because they've since deleted them from their website. I just received it yesterday and now when I got online today I can't find any instructions on their site or MCAW's. They didn't provide me with any paper instructions either so I'm kinda stuck here!

Does anyone have any archived copies of the instructions (mainly programing) that you could send me? I allready PM'd Z-Mini but I wanted to get this installed and working today as I'm leaving on a trip tomorrow.

Let me know if you intend to use the garage door opener feature. OutMotoring was of no help whatsoever, and I had to do the legwork myself.

Thanks for faxing the instructions so quickly!!
No, I'm not doing garage door opener, I don't even have a garage right now.

And thanks to Z-Mini who sent me a link to the .PDF files of instructions.

I now have them on my hard drive if anybody else needs them.

OK, bought one of these on NAM, the MCAW unit, and installed it in an 03, but for some reason, I can't get it in programming mode. (Yes, I have the instructions!) Windows are working as normal. Is there some other trick to get it to work????????

Louie B.

I just moved into a new house, and I need to wire up my MCAW for use with the garage door opener. Would you be so kind as to forward that .pdf of the MCAW instructions, pretty please with 5w-30 on top?

Thanks,

Jason

I purchased the MCAW module last year at MOTD and had misplaced the module. I recently came across it and would like to install it, but I too have no instructions. I too would greatly appreciate the installation/programming directions if anyone could share.

Thanks!
Kellan

i would check with outmotoring.com Aaron for the instructions. there was
a link to the instructions online.

a few days ago i reprogrammed my mcaw autoup to roll up after 2 clicks.
originally i had it to go up with one click but i kept comfusing the module by
telling it to autoup while i just wanted to roll up a few inches.

program mode:
1. roll window all the way up.
2. shut off car.
3. turn car to ON position, dont start car.
4. immediately roll down both windows simultaneously
the window will roll down 3/4 of the way and stop.

5. within 2 sec push the switch down (clears previous program)
and then click up as many times you want (1-4) to enable the autoup.

6. wait a few seconds and the driver side window will slightly roll up
like 1/4" and stop.

7. shut off car without touching the window sw.

you're done programming.

this thing is great. luv'ed it since the day i installed it like 2yrs ago.

ken - what are the different settings for each of the 1-4 clicks?

I need to re-program mine... it's gone kaka...

Update - never mind - found the install instructions:
http://www.mcaw.info/files/mcaw-basi...guide-rv2a.pdf

I printed a copy so I'll have them if they site ever goes away - which it may.

I'll also paste them here:
Select desired Auto-up Mode
The first step to programming your MCAW circuit is to decide which mode of operation you want for
Automatic Windows on your MINI. Each mode can be independently programmed to either the
driver’s or passenger’s window except for Mode 4 which does not apply to the passenger’s window.
The different Auto-Up modes are:
Mode 0 – Disabled (Auto-up Windows not activated)
Mode 1 - Single click auto roll up.
Mode 2 - Double click auto roll up.
Mode 3 - Click and hold auto roll up. (Hold the single click for 1 second but not more than 2)
Mode 4 (Driver’s side) - Enhanced double click roll up.
With this mode two short clicks will roll up the driver’s windows. A short click followed by a long
click will roll up both windows. When using this mode, release the second click when you see the
passengers’ window begin to move up.
Mode 4 (Passengers’ side) - Disabled
Make note of your desired mode here  _________ _________
Enter Programming Mode.
-With the Windows rolled all the way up.
-Turn the key off.
-Turn the key on – to ignition position 2.
-Immediately press both window switches down until the windows stop moving downward.
-This must be done within three seconds of turning the key on.
-You are now in programming mode.
Please note that once you are in programming mode, you need to begin your
programming within 2 seconds. Any gap in programming longer than 2 seconds will
cause the MCAW circuit to exit programming mode. If this happens to you just run
through the steps above again.
Program your desired Auto-up Mode
-Click each window switch upward to advance it to the next Auto-up mode.
-Examples:
If you chose Mode 4, click the driver’s window switch up 4 times.
If you chose Mode 1 for the Driver’s window and Mode 2 for passenger’s window, click the
driver’s switch up once and the passenger’s switch up twice.
-Hint: If you lost count and are unsure which mode you are currently in, you can simply press the
switch down once firmly to reset it to mode 0 and then begin your count up to the desired mode
again. This technique also works well if you reprogram your MCAW in the future.
Exiting Programming Mode
-Exit programming mode by not touching any switch for 2 seconds.
-The driver’s window will move up briefly to indicate when the MCAW circuit has left programming
mode.
