Look in this thread: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=93714

This is mine with aftermarket skirts. They look like OEM but without the fake scoops.

My personal opinion is that, on all but JB or AB cars, you need the front Aero bumper to balance out the side profile. Just one man's opinion, though.

I put just the sideskirts on and not the bumpers. You can see the results in my gallery. I do like the looks of the aero front bumper but probably won't get one. Hate the looks of the aero rear though.

See, *I* like the front areo bumper but NOT the sides... If anyone has been wanting to get just the sides and has been put off my the high price of the entire kit, please PM me and maybe we can split the cost. Trouble is - I can't use the rear bumper, alas (no backup sensor fittings and they're required for the cabrio).

Matt,
All you have to do is drill the sensor holes in the right place on the bumper. That's what I did on my Orciari kit.

Oh, really? It says on one of the product pages I ran across that they're not compatible - good to know!

They might be refering to the bumper not having the sensor holes. Unless the bracket/mounting points are different. I don't think so, but I'm not an expert on that (or much else for that matter!! )

imagox,

The Aero kit for PDC (parking distance control?) is on sale at morristown for $475. plus $75 shipping (I Think... saw it a few days ago)

You'd be able to use both the front and rear bumpers. I may be interested in purchasing the side skirts from you or someone else who takes this route. I was thinking of purchasing the whole kit and selling the bumpers here or on ebay.

If you go this route LMK... I'd be interested in the front/rears if I can use the PDC - I did not know they offered a version with that option. Cool!

$475 for the whole kit?! Jesus, I wonder if they'll split up the kit as I HATE the rear...

It says $495 + $75 shipping: http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...tegoryID=75813
A great price, but also plan for cost of painting. What I've heard is that this is a closeout of the remaining complete kits. Afterwards, you can still assemble the kit from individual pieces but at much higher cost.

Note that the website lists a different aero kit for convertibles. I've heard of people installing the hardtop kit on convertibles. Some cutouts are needed to clear the extra frame braces.

They're just on the back - I think there are four or five what look like flat plugs in the bumper. You see them on a lot of high end cars. They're cheap because PDC is a rarely requested option (IMO the 'bungs' look like crap) But if the look doesn't bother you, it's a good way to save some $$.

I like the front & rear, but not the sides. The stock black helps to minimize the profile.

Can someone confirm that the coupe version can be modified to fit the cabrio? The cab version is $500 more, effectively putting it out of my reach, but if all that's required is some cutting around braces, I may be able to do that. If there are different fastener points, no way...

The front bumper is the same between hardtop and cabrio (same part numbers). Aero side skirts can be fitted by trimming around a brace (this is required even if fitting standard non-aero skirts from a hardtop).

That leaves the rear bumper. The actual mounting should be fine but the hardtop and cabrio have different rear hatches, and at the very least you need to trim for the tailgate hinges. I suggest you ask brownflyer (creator of the aftermarket windscreen), who has an aftermarket aero kit. I doubt that any aftermarket kit is made specifically for the cabrio, so anybody installing one would have had to deal with the rear bumper.

Sweet! The front piece was the one I was most concerned about. I'm splitting the kit with someone that wants the side skirts. Great news!

On a side note... Can JUST the front bumper and/or rear bumper be ordered from someplace, since it has it's own part number?
