the US gets only black or red stitching, but as was said, the UK offers silver, blue, etc. Edge's car:

Looks beautiful. IMHO I like the look of the Leather dash and downtubes better than the CF because it is cleaner looking and flows better.

Can a 3-piece dash be retrofitted to a 5-piece dash?

I wouldn't think so. The way the airbag works is totally different IIRC (newer model is in the horizontal while the older is behind the dash panels)

Yes, exactely how i feel! Supposedly this sale is only on for this month, and for the price i dont think i can pass up this offer either! I know come spring time id be kickin myself for not taking advantage of this!

Youll love the JCW alcantara boots... I got em both along with the CF-alcantara e-Brake handle and CF shift ring. So i think the CF dash will compliment them nicely. Now im thinkin of going with the leather downtubes along with the CF dash

Yes, factory painted in limited colors w/o PDC and primered w/ PDC. Although, from what I've heard, some/many dealships in CA are not offering the discounted prices.

Thanks! Yep, the hard plastic door pulls always bothered me too. Much better with the covers on. Now I just need the JCW Wheel or a re-wrapped MinSpeed wheel... hmmm maybe some leather pedal covers too!

NO and No vinyl

It's a 3 step paint, print, clear coat process, that allows for contours and details. It looks great and no one that has seen it 1st hand thought it was fake. I have a real CF Bonnet and they work very well together.

Bottom Line, it's a very easy and affordable custom look using the OEM parts for a perfect fit.

Im leaning towards a leather dash now, with the blue stiching to match my interior

i have a terrible shot of a JCW cf dash in my gallery, but its not really worth looking at, it is a really crappy shot. Anyway, i can tell you that the quality of the dash is absolutely amazing. amzing shine. I have seen alot of cheap ebay fiber, and it does not compare to the jcw stuff at all.

Yes, indeed the jcw CF is great looking and real. I was considering the cf dash when it was on sale, but i already have the jcw CF cup-holder bezel, shift boot bezel, e-brake handle and steering wheel spoke. I think i may accent the interior with some leather downtubes and dash w blue stiching. That is unless i can still find a CF dash at a sale price

Recently replaced my plastic downtubes and dash board with the JCW leather dashboard and down tubes. Great mod. Insulated the pieces with foam to give them a more substantial feel and sound. Decadent but well worth it. My 993 has a full leather dash as does my 600. There is something perversely exotic about having a leather dash.

Hi Guys,

Love the NAM Forum, this is my first post, all the way from Ireland. The MINI modifying scene isn't as mature over here as you guys seem to have it, but most of your cars have been inspirational to me. Here's mine, she's a 2005 R53 Works, and I have the JCW leather dash, downtubes, steering wheel, seats, shift indicator, leather gearstick and cupholder rings and lots of other bits. I have the black leather dash with the Chili Red stitching, and I got a custom made handbrake and gear stick gaiter in matching materials and colours. I also have a Chili Red gearknob, and got the bottom spoke of my MFSW painted Chili Red to match. Hope you like!
