Cute Booty! Removed the wiper and letters
Hope you like, I got busy last weekend and removed them both. Was severely tempted to turn the hose into a water gun out the back but I refrained (we put a pen lid in it and the water shot like 25 feet!)

It would have been a diy for me but I had to go to the dealer to remove the wiper cause a year of corrosion had swelled it to stuck proportions. I tried to remove that thing for a hour or two. then gave in. chad at MOC had it off inb seconds. the real problem begains with the covering of the hole thats left from the wiper shaft.
some use stickers, I used a slider pad from a chair. heres a pic:

hope this helps!

Hah, get this. My buddy was at the gym and kicked one of the weights machines by mistake. He kicked out a plastic cap that fit PERFECTLY in our windshield. He was just looking at it on the ground and said, "Hah, I'll be damned!" It was a day after we had taken the wipers off - great stuff.
The process of taking it off was pretty easy, there are a few "how to's" out there if you hit search for wiper delete.
The trouble is after you take off the bolt under the plastic cover outside the car. The blade is simply slipped down onto the post. HOwever, its slipped onto a rough bit of metal covered in lots of tiny teeth that grip like a...like a..something really grippy!
We had WD40 in there wiggling around like crazy. Just support everything you are wiggling and you wont hurt anything - believe me, we are not weak guys and we were working this piece. My buddy Nick's came off pretty easy. I actually reverted to cutting the plastic ring that slips over these teeth. Then just pulled the wiper off. It wouldnt sit to snugly if I wanted to re-install the wiper now, but, eh, I live in Cali!

^ Yeah, why would anyone want to delete the rear wiper ?
Even IF you think it looks better without it, why would you sacrifice safety for appearance ? I can't imagine driving a MINI without the rear wiper. The aerodynamics of the car throws all the road gunk up there when it's raining or the roads are still wet after the rain has stopped.
Maybe you're driving so fast that you need not worry about anything coming up from behind you.

I also clean the car once a week and if it does get dirty (not really been a prob tho) it takes less than 1 min to hit it wil window cleaner and wipe it when ou park at night.
I just get a kick every morning when I open the garage and see a clean back end - mibbe geeky but I like it.
Well, we were going to keep it in and have a water gun (it shotts FAR if you put a little pen lid in as a nozzle) but just now its just plugged up. You cant accidentally hit the sprayer. It might be interesting to re-route it to the intercooler though.......
other threads may have more details, but Lowe's Home supply has a perfect fit plastic piece that fits in the hole left. Another helpful tip is to push a screw into the line for the washer fluid just in case.
I think when I do this in about a week I will try to make mine spray striaght up in the air like a jet ski in the water. And rain-x is a good substitute for a rear wiper in the wet weather.
I plan to remove the wiper soon.
ya, but I bet that, with the rear seat, spare tire, smaller battery box, and lighterweight seats would add up :p
