You are correct, but i meant in the States that is
I did see a vendor on Mini2 awhile back who had this stuff but he was in the UK, and the price to get it shipped over here it wasnt worth it.

Though ive never the CF door panel inserts! Wow !

Nice pics, few questions do you know if they are overlays or replacement parts?
If replacement do they fit like OEM?
How much does that "real" CF cost?
The nice thing about CooperGear finish is you are finishing YOUR OEM parts so they FIT like OEM parts for a perfect fit every time.

The ones i posted are Full CF, no overlay.

They fit like stock.

Don't know how much shipping etc would be since they're in japan.

I don't think you can compare the two....apples and oranges in my opinion.

Thanks, I agree, Apples and Oranges.

I would bet if MINI/BMW didn't make it, it doesn't fit "like stock".

Do you have this set or did you just find the pics online?

The PIC I see in mini d's gallery shows a JCW logo, but the above pics don't show the JCW. Which is which? I know JCW CF is out there. I didn't know they did the doors too. Maybe someone that owns the goods can clear things up for us. I like apples and oranges, just like my oranges in RED. LOL

Hey mini d, nice gallery, NICE MINI too.

His dash is JCW....but all of the other CF bits aren't JCW. JCW didn't make tach or speedo surrounds etc.

Perhaps not tach & speedo surrounds, but they did make downtubes, front & rear cupholder rings and gearshift boot rings in CF. See this page on RealOEM.com.

(mind you, I'm in the JCW leather camp, myself... not a huge fan of the CF "look" (real or not))

I had my OEM bezels wrapped in real CF. It is an overlay and they fit just like OEM. It was done before JCW came out with their line. Stitchcraft Interiors in Huntington Beach is the place that did my entire interior. The seats are Sparco Milano Prestige that they reupholstered for me and they embroidered the JCW logos as well as the 40th anniversary Monte Carlo logos. The A,B,C pillars are also done, as well as my aux gauge pod, e brake handle and package tray. Double click on the carbon cockpit picture on my interior to make it larger and you can see the A pillar in carbon. I have since added the door handle/speaker surrounds, the door speaker surrounds the dimmer and hazard switch surrounds as well as the exterior door handles and gas cap. IT WAS RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE at the time as they were the only place I could find that would take on the challenge of doing it all. I believe you could have it done much cheaper as there are competitors out there now.

Rally, I would bet the speaker surrounds are overlay based on the grilles, just a guess though. There was a guy down in Australia in 2004 or 2005 here that was making real CF pieces like you posted, not an overlay. I heard good and bad about quality. To me the overlay was ok as you won't save much weight going with genuine CF opposed to overlay. (cost efficiency, though not much )

Thanks Chicago, I really like the look of the red "CF". Had I thought of something like that I would have had them mix a red tint when clearcoating the parts for a similar look.
