I am looking to add a checkmate bonnet stripe to my pure silver/pure silver mini cooper. Should I get black or white or anything else? Anyone have pictures?

 

what color interior?
If grey, then let your imagination run wild!

Put burgandy on it, put any color you want on it.

 

I think the PS is too light of a color to go with white stripes. Go with any other color that appeals to you, but the darker it is, the more contrasting it will be and the more eye-catching.

You might consider black with white pins.

Or you might consider purple and green plaid. Hey... it's all about being You-nique !

 

Black goes well with Pure Silver.

 

Thanks guys for the suggestions. I'm probably going to go with black. This is a big step for me. Burgundy or plaid will have to wait at least a year.

Now I'm thinking of getting the pinstriped bonnet design. I have a non-S cooper. Is the checkmate designed to accentuate the scoop on a S cooper? Any pictures of a checkmate on a non-S cooper?

Beautiful. Now that I am striping my car, I sometimes wish I had a black roof for nice contrast like yours.

 

Mine ? That's not mine ! You think I'd ever let MY tires get gray like that ?!?!

That's the one I bought for my fiance. And yeah, I usually dress the tires after a wash but got lazy that time.

Think oustide the box. Don't try to coordinate or "match" a colour with the silver body...get creative. Silver is a non-colour, nuetral, works well with everything...If you want a checkmate pattern, why not have it in colours that go up the spectrum from right to left....like a prism... use your imagination!
