Hey Everyone,

Does anyone know if there are any aftermarket body kits available or in development for the r56 except the ones from hamaan and ac schnitzer? For all you former r53 owners, how long did it take for kits to start appearing on the market?

Thanks

From what I've seen Hamann and ACS only have lips for the cars. I think the ACS lip was just a stock painted one. Hypersport/JCW kit seems like the only game in town right now.

The orange one is my favorite. The front is the part that I like the least, but the rest of the kit is perfect.

I love the lip kits such as Hamann...

Anyone know if these are in production yet?

I'm pretty sure they all are....though the orange one sounds like its a custom one-off kit

Yah...the sides are just a copy of the GP skirts. (along with the spoiler)

The only one i like is the JCW one....the rest are a little too much for me

I think that maybe if they combined the rear from the orange one with the rest of the JCW it would be perfect.

Is there a Hamann vendor here on NAM? I like the simle approach of adding lip spoilers. Although the JCW kit is pretty impressive, my dealer quoted me like 3K labor and installation...yikes:impatient

look to the japanese if you are brave and can finance the exchange rate (thanks to g bush - god i can't wait til 08)....their parts sometimes are exagerated, but you can find very stylish, well made parts from a nice group of MINI lovers...don't overlook them...i think it makes the car a nice blend of british style, german engineering and japanese flair...if you'll note, a lot of the MINIs here are starting to look like clones....try something different!

I think I like the Hyper Sport one ...I love the AC schnitzer one. I've read of some people bashing the Hyper Sport one for whatever reason...The JCW one is pretty nice but I don't like something about it...not sure what yet lol.

People just don't like that the arches look so out of place on the hyper sport. If you look at it, the arches are black and then just kinda stop in the middle of the car without flowing into anything. Many people don't like the abrupt stop in colors because it looks very unfinished and eye catching.

Many people have had good luck getting them painted...it looks nice once the arches are painted.

That's what I planned on doing with my MCS with the aero package...once I order and then get it lol. I'm a paint and body guy. It looks easy enough to paint the arches.

i like the photo because these cars have some features not usually seen here, like the stripes, license plates, lips and wheels

Looks like the alternate esquiss bumper on the second car from the right....

I wish a company would finally make a body kit that looked good for once(besides OEM)
