Powder Coating Web Spoke Wheels

I saw the thread where someone polished the centers of his web spoke wheels. Very sharp looking. I had/have considered disassembling mine and having the centers powder coated, to match a planned color change of roof and mirror caps.

Any caveats on doing this? Will I need to replace the bolts once I take them apart? I've heard conflicting opinions on this. Any difficulties in taking them apart, so I can just send out the centers for prep and powder coating?

Recommendations on a good paint shop? I'm in Coopersburg, PA (Allentown, Bethlehem area).

How about chroming them? Would that add a lot of weight? Resons not to do that?

Thanks,
