How to remove rear fender arches

Does anyone know the correct way to remove the rear fender arches (2007 MC)? I had to release mine to remove the rear bumper to install the Mini Fini Sport Link.

I was able to unsnap the rear part of the arch over the bumper but in trying to get to the screew holding the bumper in place I tried uncliping the next clip in the arch. But I found out that these clips do not seem to just snap out of the body panel (broke both of them on each side). I plan on getting replacement clips but would like to know if there is a better way to remove the arch so I can put the clips back in correctly.

Thanks,

There is no easy way to remove those "one way" clips without damaging them. The only way is to buy a "Trim removing tool" available at some outlets. It is just a flat wedge bar with a slot in it. It helps , but its advisable to have a few spare clips on hand.
