Interior/Exterior Post pics of your shift knobs
This **** doesn't weigh a lot... Very light. About half the weight of the stock ****.
Did you make several of them? How much do they cost new? Can you make a stainless in black?
Just wondering. If I can get it cheap enough from him,, I might get it, sell it online and have you make a custom "MINI Demon" one...

I've only made a handful of ball-shaped Delrin *****, and I can't recall just what I charged for them. Probably around $75.00 each, though.
I can't do any coloring of the stainless ***** at all; just the various finishes of brushed, polished, and bead-blasted.
Just installed my new E-brake handle from Whalen. Doug is great
Sent him my shift ****, he rebrushed it and then sent the both back. What you think? I love them
Dang my interior is dirty

Do they all light up red like that? I imagined it was like the R50/53's that have a white shift pattern. I'm looking for a shift **** that has the shift pattern light up with the dash, ala BMW M3 shift *****, and I thought that the pictured was attempting the same idea.

I used the Hot Rod Girl pool ball shifter you linked to... Paid $15. Simply can't be beat.

NOTE: The rubber bootie thing that you get with the pool ball doesn not fit the very thick shaft used in the MINI... Just get a tube of silicone caulk (about $5 at Lowe's) and fill the hole about 1/3 full of goop. Mash ball onto shaft and allow to dry overnight. Mine went over a year before it loosened up - a quick re-application solved the issue. To me, that's worth the drastically lower price tag over the Whalen, but some will disagree (shrug).
ALso note that I have the leather shift boot pulled down in the pic to show the attachment point - the cover still pulls all the way up to the ball for everyday use. Great heft and size in the palm but BE WARNED: garages, valets and others that are unfamiliar with a 6-speed car will not be able to find "Reverse" without help since the shift-pattern diagram will be missing, so get in the habit of showing people where reverse is when you hand over your keys. This applied to ANY aftermarket **** w/o the shift pattern on it.

what exact stuff did you use?
and would it be an awful idea to try something strong like gorilla glue?
please help!
where did this come from? i want some think just like this. the insides of my stock **** are wearing out, I keep pulling it off when shifting hard from 1st to 2nd
. i want some thing this shape so i can grasp the **** rather than just palm the top of a ball.

also Doug, what material is your connection piece made of, i have an old grenade from an arm surplus store i have been trying to use as a **** for a long time but cant figure out away to make it work. if your connection deal is steel i could just weld it too my grenade and be set.
This reminds me, I had my MINI in for service a few months ago and the mechanic came into the waiting room to complement me on this shift ****. What a great piece of craftsmanship it is. Thanks again Doug for your fabulous work!!
I recently got a Honda 6 speed shift **** I would like to install but it's a female threaded **** so my shifter needs to be a male threaded but obviously it's not on my minim!M but do they make an adapter that converts from the mini stock push and lock to a threaded male??
I tried doing a few google searches but didnt come up with anything
The only thing i could think of is if you have access to a threading machine, but i dont even think that would work because you would be making the hole too large.
