Interior/Exterior Post pics of your shift knobs
You mean, you've never given up???
I promised to do this YEARS ago; never happened, for several reasons.
Now that nobody has any money, I finally come up with another product; great timing on my part!

Other than that, the only consideration that I can think of is the difference in thermal conductivity between Delrin and any type of metal.
Doug,
I have a shift **** that I purchased a couple of months ago that looks like the "S" one on the previous page of this thread. The difference is the main body is polished and the ring is satin.
So here is my question if you could do an e-brake handle like this. I would like the body polished but the part that looks like the lock on the shift ***** in satin. Then at the end by the button a ring that is that mimics the satin ring on the shift ****. I know it is a little complicated, but was curious if you are able to do it. It would just match more and give even more an impression of a set.

I'm taking a few handles to the polisher next week. Once I get them back, I'll experiment with the two-tone finishes. It shouldn't be a problem.
Excellent, let us know how it goes if you would.
This is a really crummy photo, and I'm not thrilled with the finish.
The polisher told me that he'd get the tool marks out, but you can still see a lot of them.
(I put the yellow o-rings on, just for "something different".)

Those o-rings were really meant for the shift *****.
They're a couple sizes smaller than the black ones I bought for the handles; they're stretched pretty tightly over the e-brake handle, and probably wouldn't hold up real well.
I had small batches of red, yellow and blue molded for me when I first began making the ***** for BMW's. The colors didn't match the BMW paint colors real well, so they've been sitting in a drawer ever since.

I can see what you are saying about the tool marks. Other than that this is exactly what i would be interested in. Hopefully there is a way to do this.
Doug, even in that photo it show the amazing stuff that you do.
Have no idea about metal polishing but I would figure that a piece like this would be easier to polish than a shift ****. I have never seen the process, though and have no idea.

It's hard to know how a buffing job will turn out; we can definitely improve on that finish, though.
