Coco Mats in back?

Its new mat time again, and I've decided on Coco Mats this time. Should I get a set of four, or is there a problem getting the rear mats to play nice with the front seats?

Thanks,
Phil

I have them in my R56 and they work great. Don't interfere with seats at all. LOVE them!

Thanks. Does anyone know if the rear space in the R53 is any different?

I've got them in mine, front and rear. When the front seats are all the way down, the rear mats interfere with the sliding of the front. They are much thicker than other mats. Still this is a problem I'm willing to deal with, plus this is on a Cabrio so it might be different with a tin top.

I've had front and rear coco mats and also the matching boot mat for 5 years with absolutely no problems.

I'm pretty sure Maybee has rear mats that are cut a bit too large - because I had to provide a template later to get my rear cabrio mats cut to the same size as the OEM cabrio mats - and mine work fine. The first rear mats they sent me for the cabrio were too large and would have had the same problem. I don't think this is an issue for the coupe mats, however.

I have them in mine, but did not get the back ones as no one rides in the back. I just have black all weather mats from MINI back there...they are fine.

I have not had a problem with my front ones.

I thought they were the same size as the OEM ones but now I'll have to check. Really though it is the thickness that catches, but only if the seats are down to their lowest level.

Guess I'm gonna have to call Cocomats then. The things you learn from NAM.

Yeah - the ones they ship now should be much smaller than what they used to ship for cabrios... because I traced the OEM rubber mats and sent as a template when I bought mine (after the first ones were bigger...)...

Chuck - the first ones they sent me would have fit, and would have covered a lot more carpet area - but didn't fit in the little "recessed" area for the OEM mats... which would have caused the seat rail interference I think...

If yours don't bother you, no worries. If they do, I'm sure they'd cut yours down to the new size and rebind them no charge...

Thanks everyone. I'll order a set of four. I have the occasional soccer boy in back, so rear mats are definitely in order. I don't have a cabrio, and I don't think my seats are all the way down, so it looks like this is gonna work fine for me.

There really is a wealth of knowledge in these forums, and I appreciate folks taking the time to share some of it.
