Interior/Exterior Trim replacement
Trim replacement
I am looking into painting my arches and trim (if I can do it cheap enough) and want to make sure my parts list is accurate. Still haven't decided if I will use any Aero kit parts...really drives up the parts cost but reduces paint labor, and they do look better (well, nose and skirts anyway...the rear bumper is not that different unless you see them side by side).
If I simply replace the existing trim, I see 14 parts I must replace. Correct?
- 3 arches on each side (6 parts total)
- Skirt on each side (2 parts total)
- Front bumper "Spoiler" (3 parts)
- Rear bumper "Spoiler" (3 parts)
Do I need to order the clips, screws, etc. as well or do they come with the parts?
With the skirts, do I also have to buy new "Entrance cover" (the silver logo'ed door sill), if so which part number and how many (can't tell if they come as a pair or individually). If so, the price is climbing high enough that it almost makes more sense to buy the aero kit skirts.
The aero kits on Outmotoring, are they complete (clips, screws, "entrance cover" described above, etc...)? Want to develop a complete purchase cost comparison between them, so I want to make sure I have accounted for everything.
Thanks!

Realoem.com has diagrams and part numbers for everything for which you are looking.

Been there. Didn't answer my questions. Do I need to buy a new one if I replace my skirt; or if I buy an aero kit skirt does it include one? Realoem.com doesn't clearly show that. Also doesn't tell me if the clips are included...
That said, I like your tag line!

Bump...still looking for the answer.
If I buy a replacement skirt, do I also have to buy the silver "entrance cover"? Does the aero skirt kit from Outmotoring inlude this or is it a separate part?

aero skirts don't need sill covers, it's a flat surface as opposed to the regular s skirts with an indention that covers the clips. and the aero skirts should come with the clips when you buy the set.

Sill covers? I don't know what that is. Please post a picture. realoem.com shows an "entrance cover" as a separte part from the skirt, whether the skirt is the stock trim or in the aero kit.
the sill cover is the entrance cover.
i think the entrance cover that you can use for the aero skirts is the optional JCW entrance cover, im not sure though.

not necessarily black on top, just black for me because mine are black. for you, after paint, the sill will be hyper blue.
