Why is the JCW wing so low? Is it any good? Does it do anything really? Compared to the import tuner hatch backs it seems really low on the car .Is there a reason? It is actually below the highest point of the roof and behind the car.
I never considered it until I saw pictures of it installed in the Product Review area here and thought it looks much cooler than the stock S spoiler without being too out of place on the street. I haven't seen any data on the downforce it provides but I am confident it is more than the stock setup. I'm sure everyone agrees it probably won't have much effect on handling at legal street speeds though.

The wing does not sit below the roof. Just check out the link posted above. It looks totally OEM too. I would love to get one.
Hi, I'm a full race car- and in a development stage without sponsors on the side. Apples. Oranges.
well I figured the wing is from a jcw challange car. aka race car. why spend the money on a cf wing if your going to cover up what makes it cool. might as well go on down to pep boys and pick yourself up a APC fiberglass unit and paint that.
Blech. Paint it. Exposed carbon fibre weave was old 2 months after Spoon did it 10+ years ago!
perhaps 10+ years ago it was "old" but in the same way fashion, art, design, style etc comes and goes, it seems that CF is making a come back. the new m3's roof is fully exposed CF:
this porsche carrera's spoiler is exposed CF:
the new audi r8 sports a CF panel:
