Got mine from http://www.myminiparts.com/
Best price I found, and fast shipping.

is the installment of the lower grille really as difficult as they say it can be?

Yeah... I had a hard time getting it to fit nice and flush. Luckily a club member here was selling a new primed aero front bumper, so I ended up buying that.

Check out the grills from M7, on the Custom Mini Shop web site. They have top and bottoms that match, and they work with the stock front bumper. They come in silver or black, and also have the rear grills that match. check them out Customminishop.com.

Nick, here's a link to another thread where the lower grille installation is discussed. I posted some photos there that will help with the flush mounting issue that blainelv mentioned: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=105379

Your screw trick is pretty neat. I did all the trimming on the grille but it would never sit right. In the end I am glad there was an aero bumper available and a good price.

About 3/4 of the way through the installation I started thinking about ordering the aero bumper myself.

One of the members in our club had an extra. But outmotoring sells all the aero parts seperately.

The aero bumper definitely makes things easier, since the grille is made for that bumper. The stock bumper can take the aero grill (like DesignIt's post) although it takes some cutting...ok lots of cutting. It all depends on what you want, like, and want to spend.
