Mike at AC had been working on a custom design for me over the last few weeks. When he found out the Navy was transferring me from Virginia to California for two years, he finished it up in time for me to stop in Phoenix on my way out west and have the graphics applied.

I asked Mike for something for the bonnet, boot and sides that had kind of a "racy/technical" look (I'm not really into the flames/dragons/tribal schemes). I also asked him for something that was relatively low-contrast and didn't visually "pop" out from the paint.

I think he nailed it. Thanks for the work, Mike, and I had a great time hanging out with you during the install.

Oh, Mike could definitely set you up with the side graphics. I don't know about the stripes on the wheels, but if it can be done with vinyl, he should be able to do it.

You could always paint that portion of the wheels...

And Mike can definitely do the graphics. Cool design, BTW.

And GREAT graphics on the cabrio. In some places it almost looks like tire tracks...and then you see it up close and it's all tech-y looking. Really cool!

Thanks - I've had some other people tell me that as well. The funny thing is, the pattern and text are actually slightly-modified characters from the "Borg Font" from Star Trek : The Next Generation. Here are some other examples of it:

I didn't know that's what they were until I saw the final design and Mike told me about them. I think the look came out just about right, and no, I don't know if my car "says anything" when the characters are translated!
