Looks great!

I just wish JCW would make the logo optional on the dash, brake handle and steering-wheel inserts. In my interior, I'd love to get the e-brake handle and steering-wheel insert to go along with my dash, dowtubes, and cupholder/shifter trim rings, but that would give me *three* JCW logos spread out over a fairly small area.

Also, I wish JCW would come up with steering wheel inserts for the MFSW (or that I had more talent/patience with a Dremel tool.)

Hi guys..I am sorry i didn't responde sooner but I been hard at work.

The piece can be order thru your parts counter

32 30 0 421 084

its called:

Blende Sportlenkrad Mitte, its a J. Cooper Works piece

I have the handbrake, shiftknob, centerpiece on the steering wheel and the only pieces that have logos are the shift **** and these center piece which are nice IMO. anyway I hope this help someone dress up the wheel, I think it looks great.

So the emergency brake handle *doesn't* have the JCW logo on it? That's good to know - thanks! That was the only thing that was keeping me from ordering it.

Man i just called my dealer and this part is some serious cash. Around $100. I would have never guessed it cost that much. Did you get it from the dealer or are there other places to get it cheaper?

PelicanParts has it for $90, and Morristown Mini has it for $70. Still pricey for a small CF cover, but cheaper than $100.

Yep, I got excited for a second when I saw Morristown's price - $60 each for the three steering wheel inserts. But when you use the pull-down to select the center section, that's when I saw the $10 surcharge for the center section. $60 would have been nice, but $70 still isn't too bad.

yep is not a cheap piece, but is not a sliver of carbon either is a piece of carbon attached to a molded black material, and the fit is perfect...removal of the OEM piece requires removal of the airbag OR!!!! you can take your MINI to a quiet place and pull the horn towards you and pry the OEM silver piece with a flat screw driver wrapped in electrical tape so you do not scratch anything from the bottom up the piece is held in place by 4 stubs and comes up slowly, you will make noise with the horn a little but is better than the 1.5 hour labor to remove the airbag..It took me 15 minutes and 3 horn beeps to install.

Nope...it just replaces the silver bottom piece...but the instructions are to take the air bag out to install it. I didn't as I said I just pulled the horn towards me with one hand so i will not make the horn blow in the process of taking the piece out.

simple.
