Jmike,

Thanks, I'll have to look into that...

Though I have the minidomore hitch, I didn't get the wiring. I can't say they do or don't have it (I'm assuming they do) but I never discussed it with them because I originally bought the hitch so I could put one of those carry all racks on the back.

My intention wasn't really to tow the trailer.

Guess now that I sold my H2, I need something to tow with....

OK, Orangecrush - if you get it done before me, let me know how the wiring goes!

Anybody else with the minidomore hitch, RE: wiring?

I just installed a minidomore hitch on my R53 Cooper S only to find out that my Thule 917 rack is not long enough. it looks like I will need to use an extender.
Any of you experience the same? what extender did you use? how does the extender interface with the Hitch? any rattles?

thanks!

You can look at my post here regarding my R53:

I did not have luck with the Harbor Freight extension/converter due to the upward bend not clearing the bumper shroud. I would think with an extension there may be more chance of rattling or wobbling. I would recommend buying from a local retailer to try out and return if it doesn't work out for you. BTW, I use an Allen rack for my bike carrying and works fine for my hitch with no extension needed:
