Stella 95% WHITED-out! (Warning, LOTSO pics)

Stella + Ellis = Stellis

Whited-out headlight rings and emblem

Whited-out belt-line, emblem, chrome piece above LP, white inserts, and Euro-style taillights

Checking her out

Front

Bird's Eye view of front

Of Back

Full Frontal

Vinyl-wrapped headlight

35% tint all the way around

Last, but not least, red and white centercaps

This post is a way to say thanks back to the NAM community for these great ideas--couldn't have thought of them without you! Special thanks to Bryan for the how-to on whiting out the emblems and having a hell of a time prying them off in the cold and thanks to the rest of the guys and gals who were there that night ... it means a lot...aw gawd i'm gonna cry

As always, if anyone has questions about the car or need to know where to get these mods installed (I had a ton), I'm only a PM away!!

I was thinking about it, but I think it'd get too dirty too fast. I also want to keep SOME black on the car to complement the black in the checkered mirrors. VERY interesting idea though .. maybe one day when I want to change the look again!

Looks great - I really like the white beltline. I'd leave the aero grille black, though. Both the bonnet stripes and the headlamp trim rings are fairly strong front-to-rear elements, and I'd be afraid that having the white longitudinal bonnet stripes leading right up into a white grille (which is a strong lateral element) might be jarring, and a little bit much.

Basically, you've got a lot of contrast between various elements on your car, but most of them run front-to-back. The rear of the car is the exception, but you've got the rear spoiler, beltline, hatch handle and bumper inserts ALL running laterally, with no strong longitudinal elements back there, so it works well.

I *would* replace the "Pull to inflate" decal with the white version, though! Also, looking at the side of the car, there seems to be a lot of unbroken red, considering how many contrasting elements you have on the front, top, and rear of the car. Have you considered some kind of white stripe/graphic running front-to-rear just above the rocker panel?

Nice look, Ellis! Very tied-together, except for the mirror caps (IMO). Now, if you could find/make a set with red and white checkers, that would be hottt!!!

I think the white grill would be a total hit with the road you have went so far.
You could tape off the front portion of the honeycomb and paint the rest of the grill from the back, then wrap the black grill trim. You could even plug everyother honeycomb hole and give it the checkered look. When you were done it would still have the black to tie it in, but would give it the cool look that you have done so well with.

Consider whiting out just the grill surrounds and leave the honeycomb black, should make a match for the white headlight rings.

Well thought out. Hope your Stella has a longer life span than my daughter's Stella!
