Need your opinions!

Hi motorers,

I just got my MINI back from the paintshop (last Friday actually).

My MINI got keyed, and I got a few things done while it was at the paintshop. I went the "black'd out" route and now it is time to order (ok, re-order because I screwed the install of them) bonnet stripes...

I would really appreciate having your opinion about which stripes to get...

The classic bonnet stripes, or the new ones (see picture):

I would get it in black to match my carbon fiber hoodscoop...

Here is a picture of my MINI (missing the Lamin-X gunsmoke headlights films)

Thanks!

I'd say go with the swoop

But then again, I might be biased

Also, if you decide to get a swoop, look around, you might be able to find one in a Carbon fiber "Look" print that might look good with the CF scoop

Thanks

I call it a swoop cause "U-Stripe" just doesn't do it for me

Ooo! Looking sharp with all the blackout. Since you've already got the dark (cf) scoop, I think the "swoop" would look cool. And no white edges.

I think I will get that "swoop" stripe... I've had the bonnet stripes for 3 years so a little change will be more than welcome lol

Thanks to both of you for replying.

DarkMiniCooperS,
I'm sure you know this already, but a word of caution: wait 30 days before applying graphics over a freshly painted surface. Fresh paint needs to outgas and cure before being sealed. (same would apply to a real wax job).
Oh yeah, I like the swoop too!

I would honestly say neither! I don't have any stripes on my MINI, and I believe it gives it a cleaner look....just depends what you are going for.

Well, DarkMiniCooperS, you *know* I like your taste in cars (!), and I would like to place my vote for the swoop. I was considering this at one point, but will wait until I get the CF hood. With the CF/black scoop I would go black decal, not silver or other color.

btw, what's up with the waistline? Doesn't look black to me...

I will go for the "swoop" for sure now!

I just got the beltline kit from OutMotoring and installed it this evening.

I also received my Lamin-X gunsmoke kit for the headlights/turn signals/fog lights. I will get those installed later this week!

Your car's new silver is slick! Don't swoop it though. I can't tell from your picture, but smoked (or blacked-out) windows would complete "the look."

The car looks GREAT, DMCS !

Seems your mind is made up. But for what it's worth, my order of preference in stripes for the "S" :

Viper Stripes
Classic Bonnet Stripes
U-Stripes
