I was not aware that Gen 2 MINIs had issues with fuel pump relay failures until it happed to me. After watching a video of a guy using the hatch area 12 volt socket as a source of power, and browsing the internet to get repair costs for the JBE module, I decided to install an external relay that maintains DME control of the relay/fuel pump. Total cost of the repair was less than $20.00.
