In order to remove the grill, you will need to pry the top 4 expanding rivets ( in front the grill) and press the 4 bottom clips (behind the grill) then pull it out from the bumper.
It's pretty much self-explanatory once the grill is removed.

Cool, thanks for the reply - its seemed easy enough I just wasnt sure if there were screws on the bottom or not.

I also found this 'how to' in my searching:

Thanks again!

2 easy ones here...

I have 2 requests if possible:

1). Valentine One install on here is great. But, how/where do I install the remote display? Sitting in the car I can't think of a good place to put it. Any ideas?

2). Is it possible to install HIDs in the factory fog lamps? I have a 2010 MCS.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

yes it is, but you will need resistors because there is not enough power to power both lights. one will stay on while the other flickers and goes out

Thanks!
I am actually looking for information on where the safest place to put 4 jack stands on a Mini Cooper Clubman as well.

Can someone direct me to the proper site or procedure for drilling (enlarging) the l2mm holes in my wheels to 14 mm. Want to use the same oem lugs for my winter as my summer wheels without having to remove the Texas speedwerks lug/nut conversion kit each summer.

Anyone got some instructions for removing the shift boot? I've got the chrome ring around the bottom; don't want to break it just 'cause I don't know how to do it right!

Thanks!

If you want to be really careful you can pull up the console around it and you'll be able to see where it clips on the underside. It should still only take about 10 minutes to do it that way. Try these instructions for help;

I just found out from a dealership that my thermostat housing is cracked and slowly (thankfully) leaking coolant. Vehicle is still drivable however I need to top off the expansion tank from time to time. Dealership quoted $410.00 repair job, part is $106.27 (realoem.com) and I'm confident in my skills in replacing the unit myself if I had a decent set of instructions.

Have anybody replaced their thermostats on a R56 MCS and have a decent writeup?

Cheers.

Hi!

I' searching for an instruction how to replace the microfilter in an R56 Cooper.
I know it's based at the passengers foot area but I don't know how to open the box.

I believe I may have an exhaust leak. I'd like to see a write up on replacement of ALL exhaust related gaskets on an r56 MCS. From the engine block > exhaust manifold > Turbo > Down Pipe/CAT. unsure if there is anything special I need to do/remove prior to getting access to those items.
I'd also like to put my vote in on how to properly lift the car onto 4 jack stands.
And another vote for a guide on a proper coolant flush.
I really wish we had a good mechanics reference book to have on hand for this car.

There is a really good thread on that in the Clubman Section here

Oil change indicator?

Is there a way to reset the indicator in the dash when you do your own oil changes? I do the oil change around 5000 miles and it is too far to take it in every 15000 to have the dealer do it. I couldn't find any thing about reseting the computer with a search.

Thanks

I'd need a how-to for removing the antenna base of a R56 Cooper.
