I removed mine in about 5 minutes without removing the light assembly.

Thank you for posting how you did it without removing the light assembly.
I really didn't want to do that, but was gearing up for it when I saw how you did it.
It took me 20 minutes because one lens flipped over when it popped out and then couldn't fit through the bottom of the assembly. I spent about 10 minutes trying to flip it over and was resigned to removing the assembly to get it out when it finally flipped and fell through the bottom.

There was no damage to the amber lens covers or the assembly.

Little Wing looks sooo much better now!

It shouldn't make a difference. I have xenon and replaced the "egg yolks
" on mine with a little jiggle to get the old lens out.

Did anyone ever come up with a source for clear lenses? I took the egg yolks out but would rather replace them with a clear lens.

That looks like a complete set of headlights; I was hoping to find just the clear lenses.

I actually need a set of the halogen headlight orange turn signal lenses for my R56. If anyone has a pair for sell, please send me a pm!

dear @jpmcc00 ,
I am SO thankfull that your post (and all the infos/photos provided by you) came to my way.
The difference is HUGE an it feels like getting rid of a pimple in the face !
The PERFECT bulb to fit , after the orange lens delete , is of the exact type P21W BA15S (12V 21W)
It is colorless and chromed , but turns orange when lit.
Don't buy the py21w , they dont fit because the pins are not the same.

Thanks again, and all the people posted here !!!!
Greetings from Greece
