bashed headlight, Replacement suggestions?

Hi friends,
I woke up this morning to find that someone thought it would be fun to take a swing at one of my headlights so I'm looking for replacements.

Xenons aren't really in my price range right now so I'm looking for the halogen assembly.

I found a set on ebay that I like with the clear turn signal lens but the part number shows that they are for the euro R56 and instead of US. Anybody know if these will work in my '09 JCW?

Thanks for the help.
As always, Keep Calm and Motor On

Right side with clear indicator Halogen should be 63122751876. I know with Xenon the Euro has a different light pattern because of the opposite side driver position, not sure about the halogen. If you only want to replace one look around for a used OEM one on eBay. There is always a great deal on Halogen headlamps there. Remember you can always get a headlight with the amber indicator and pop the lense right out.

I don't know if you are feeling frisky but the "Spec-D" projector/halo headlights are another option. They are at a pretty good price at 280 for the pair. They look better than halogens and they also have the projector which will aim your bulbs better. You could choose to wire up the halo or not. And they also sell them in both chrome and black housings. Hope that helps.

I have the regular halogen set from my R56 (2011 Mini Cooper S) that I will sell you for $175 plus shipping. There is nothing wrong with them as I am upgrading to the projector headlights. Mine have the yellow turn signal lenses, but I popped them out and you can either use yellow bulbs or white bulbs for your turn signals. Let me know if you are interested.

Do either of you own the Spec-D projector lights? If so, can you post some good photos as well as photos at night ...and write a review?

Thanks.
I've seen these lights but am hesitant until I can read a real review and/or see some real photos (not just photos and generic copy from the co's website).

I just ordered a set to see if they would be a good replacement for the halogens on one of my MINIs. Interested in seeing them first hand. They should be here by the end of the week. I definitely look forward to putting up a review on them.

Here are some quotes from members below:

The driver side seems to be a bit out of focus or something but I will see if I can fix that when I open it all up. The part I wasn't expecting was the mechanical shutter for high beams. I bought these housings to use them as base for a retro fit because I like the design of the housing in general, it doesn't have that look that screams ebay lol But now here are some pics

Just the passenger side projector

Both, you can see how the driver side is distorted.

those actually look pretty cool. They seem like a nice step up from Halogens ...and the price isn't bad at all. I think i found them around $250 for a set.

MINI\\\M...do give a review once you get yours! (and more photos).

Insurance to replace them? With that you can probably talk them into Xenons. I mean it is worth a try. Comprehensive doesn't raise your insurance costs either.

Thanks guys. I'm not so sure the Spec-D's are for me although they do look pretty badass. For now I'm looking for an OEM halogen and put that little bit of extra cash toward another mod.
