Does any one know of a way to get it to display max boost or hp, maybe in the trip function?

Had my SCANGAUGE for a week now ...
This thing is cool.

I already had Boost, watertemp, and oil pressure gaugse ... and a Gtech pro.

I have programed the boost gauge and HP gauge ..
.THANKS for the how tos.

The HP does read a bit optimisticly and does jump around a bit but, a 2nd gear roll on to WOT reads almost the same #s as the Gtech.

Neat thing was that even with a bit of fluctuation and perhaps high HP #s.
Before doing my last customer build (SC pully, CAI, exhaust, plugs, wires, etc)
I did a pre mod run and than a after mod run.
Cool to show the customer the gain.

Already used ot to clear a code (low H2o temp... that I get quite often) but the thing was I was trying to throw that code and able to see the FWT on the scangauge.
I now confirmed the situation that produces that code

The uses are many. good investment. and fun

Glad you like it! Yep, great tool for the money, IMHO.

Not everything you could ever want... but not priced like that, either.

I got in touch with someone from ScanGauge in hopes of being able to display boost on the R56 without needing MAP displayed.

He told me to try a TXD of 07DF010B or 07E0010B. I used the first TXD and it works great!

Figured I'd pass it along to the other R56ers.

GREAT find - last time I asked them they were clueless - looks like they figured it out!

I had an XGauge setup for boost on my R53, so just tweaked the TXD as you said and the PSI X-Gauge i created works great now on the R56.
Thanks much, the first TXD setting worked for me as well.

So not to join the SGII party late, but this may be my solution rather than gauges (as I posted a question about gauges earlier in this forum).

can this do A/F for an R53? can I retrieve logs off of it?

Thank you.

NO A/F. NO logs. All the ScanGauge does is display parameters available via OBD-II - you need a dedicated wideband sensor and associated display (gauge) to see A/F.

The Scangauge has no data logging capabilities. Simply a "live" display of the data on the OBD-II bus.

I know this is like raising the dead, but i have a question pertaining to data retrieved from obdII type devices such as the ScanGaugeII. I'm using the torque pro app on my android with an obd2 bluetooth connector and it works awesome but i've been trying to figure out boost. i think i have it right, with the engine off it reads 0 to -.3. engine idling it shows -9 psi. the max boost it read when i drove WOT was just under 16psi with a 15% pulley and CAI. does this sound right?

That sounds about right. I get -7 or so and 16.5psi at 6700rpm with 15%, CAI, and DT BPV.
