I installed a keyless entry system in my 750il and worked on the light relays. Went to our other house to visit my new 6er which will head to the mechanics this week along with my old 6er for a heart transplant. The new stealth 6er w/ 300hp should be on the road soon. It will be on the track for the Aloha 500.

The MCS is quietly tucked away in the garage under my car cover. The Italian Job is playing on my VCR. A nice glass of Johnny Walker Blue on my desk. All I need is a nice Cohiba!

Nope-it seems all is under control in your half of the island.

That's quite a few cars for one person! or are you a car collector?
Would be great to see those BMWs out on the track at the Aloha 500.
I hope everything continues to keep going A+++ for you.
It sounds like you are a multi-tasker.

You know, I can think of something better.
Take that lonely Dark silver MCS with 18" wheels out for a spin.
That's when life is good for me- at the wheel of my MCS

Heh... I'd have a BMW 2002 if I thought I could sneak it in... but 4 cars and I'm being told that we have too many. Thankfully Alli is super understanding and appreciates the future value of that '64 Cooper S we've got.

JW Blue you say, Bryan? Hmm. Might have to make sure it's not poisoned. Wouldn't want you to leave all those Bimmers homeless  I've been told that the Blue is really good stuff. ... only had the black & red label stuff myself.

JW Blue is SMOOOOOOTH!

As for the MCS it's part of the MINI stable with me mum's PS/PS CVT. My MCS is affectionately known as Li'l Beast.

Andy,

I spoke to my mechanic on Friday and he said he's picking up a souped up '02 from a friend. I think he has a customer that's interested in it.

Beastmaster,
It's been over a year since you posted this thread.
How about an update?
A year later and two less MINIs? Is life any better?

Oh shiet, I forgot about this thread. As we have the same mechanic, I'm pretty sure you saw my 6er sitting in the yard with the broken side window. The motor is in, headers and exhaust are here. The only thing holding back the car is the installation of the headers and the SS exhaust. Of course, I will need a new downpipe installed as the car has no cat on it. Then, we have to figure out the throttle linkage as the two years had vastly different suspension, motors and throttle linkages.

Oh well, I am also MINIless, with 2 BMWs replacing them. I don't know when the 6er will be up and running, but I never said WHICH Aloha 500 it would be ready for. I have been contemplating other cars in the meantime, maybe another BMW, a Porsche or a Mercedes.

Instead of Italian Job playing on the DVD, it is now Ronin with the E34 M5 and those fantastic chase scenes through the streets of Paris.

At Motor werkes I see alot of cars lying around. Mine included. Fortunately I do have a spare so good things can take time... alot of time. I will seek this thread again in May of 2005 and ask you the same question.

Being MINIless is not the end, it's only the beginning of an excuse to get another car. We know how that goes. I too am looking since my old Maxima hit 109,000 miles recently. I was eyeing the nice Velvet red MC with aerokit for sale on consignment but my wife said no to more MINIs so I turned my attention to my Maxima and got new tires (Potenza RE950 in stock size), I cleaned the K&N drop in filter, and added a GReddy SP cat-back exhaust. Now my wife says something is "wrong" with the maxima and she won't drive it.

Fine, I'll drive it until my MCS returns from prison.
Tonight I used those skills learned at the Tech party in April and refinished my Maxima with the porter hand polisher and restore liquid. Worked like a charm. I already cleaned the rims. Maybe I will paint the brake calipers a bright silver. I shopped around for nice lightweight 15x6.5" rims to autocross with using 205/50-15 track tires. Didn't get them yet but I'm prepared.

Ronin? That's an older movie. Good chase scenes. Transporter is also good for chase scenes with a bit of humor.

Your car is in prison? Where? At MoH or Motorwerkes? Better bail her out before she gets used to being in prison.

Clutch is still out. Waiting for the dealership to install a new master cylinder and troubleshoot cause of problem which is still unknown according to my SA. Motor werkes has my flashpan and assorted goodies which I can get back once my MCS is running and happy again.

Maxima is refinished and waxed. Done tonight. Just in time for a jailbreak at daylight.
Wait , I need a second driver!
On second thought, better wait for them to call me first. Monday makes 11 days in"car"cerated.
