I believe there was only one station there. As for the MINI that ran, I think it was bgrpph's EB MCS.

Actually, we have to figure out the date of the next MIN & a Movie. It is usually the 1st Sunday, but I know there was talk of moving it to the 2nd Sunday.

ok, found it. do you have the black/white mcs? i was actually gonna introduce myself to you but i think you guys were all getting ready to go back to the pit for lunch.

anyhow, wanted to ask you if you're interested in dropping your mcs with h-sport springs (i'll be placing the order by this wednesday)? interested in any other cosmetic mods? i'm setting up the group buys so please let me know.

yup, that was 'oreo' and me.
I was interested in suspension mods but I don't think I'll do anything right now. I already have to do some acrobatics to get out of my driveway without scraping (who invented those 'roll curbs'!) :evil: I don't think I can spare a centimeter or two.

I know who's EB MCS with anthracite Centerline RPM wheels that was but hesitant to mention since the video shows the MCS plowing through some of the cones in the slalom

The $10 was for the extra t-shirt! As for the interview, you know me. Eventhough I'm MINIless, I would get a MINI into the interview! Actually I gave them the choice of you or the E30 M3. Seeing that the camera and tripod are heavy, I knew who they would choose!

Plowing through cones? Now that was the job of the black M3! Boy that exhaust on the M3 sure sounded sweet.

Video of the skidpad would have been great, but I shusshed the media out after the interviews because I didn't want them going near the scene of the accident. It was all very controlled with our media.

Just looked at your sig pic and it looks like you got some HRP mud on your floormats. Upon closer observation, I guess it's the date stamp on your pic.

I almost forgot about the news interview. After I got home from the Aloha 500, I washed my MINI. It was REAL muddy and dirty from all the rain. Next thing, the phone started ringing off the hook, all my cousins and friends were calling about me being on the 6:00 news (KGMB). Oh yeah, that's right! So I recorded the 10:00 newscast for the "insightful" interviews of me and The_Beastmaster. I think the real star were all the MINIs

What is the blue tape on the front and wheel wells of the BMW for???

Actually, you hit it on the head. That modification actually creates 5hp as it increases aerodynamic efficiency.

J/K The blue tape was for some of our members who did not want paint chips on their fenderwells.

 

I have read articles about top speed where the front grilles on a Mustang were taped shut to improve aerodynamics and increase top speed.
Paint chips/bugs are another problem- That is what a front bra is for.

My sport bra gave me the horsepower advantage over the other MINIs at the ALOHA 500
