That's because MINI owners save in mini MONEY (pennies) so it takes a long time to count up 20,000 coins let alone carry them to you. Hey that is sort of like Italian job except it is really cheap money. Maybe it could be called:
The Manini Job.

manini fish counting coins in the water frantically

My new schedule show 2 hours 15 minutes of track time for run groups A, B & C. Novices get 3 hours of Car Control Clinic and 1 hour 21 minutes of track time.

Beastmaster,

I do plan on signing up for the club and the driving course, but I don't get paid until tomorrow (the 15th) and that is why I was waiting. Are there still slots available for the driving course?

Wow, this is a good schedule. Sign up now.

For those interested-
please do read the threads on MCO on Spring Fling and Driving at the Hawaii Raceway park
Ask questions and if you want to get some further discussion and walk through going just PM me.
Maybe we can set something up this weekend.

Don't forget that every MINI that is to drive in the Aloha 500 needs to get checked (get teched) mechanically at one of the approved shops. The BMW dealer will do it but you will need the forms and an appt. So hurry- and get teched.

I'm so sad I can't be there with you

Ten days and counting!

Li'l Beast may not be there. However, White Lightning should be making an appearance!

Beastmaster,

I just e-mailed you with a few questions about the Aloha 500, and the tech check.

I'll be mailing my check off tomorrow, and should get the application faxed by tomorrow or Friday.

Well, my mechanic's back is up against a wall and he's pushing to get the car done. Eibachs, Bilsteins, cross drilled rotors front and rear, Mintex pads, are on it's way. Suspension Techniques sway bars, re-finished headers, stainless exhaust are all here. 300hp M90 motor and Getrag 280 tranny are just waiting to be installed. I may even have time to install the sport seats. Our mainland instructors should have fun driving it!

All this fun to assemble in 10 days?
Are you sponsored or something. That is a garage full of parts. Which means after you do the install and upgrades you have another garage full of parts. Enough to build a frankenstein of a car. Maybe get a broken and old 6 series and inject some life into it.

No old broken 6ers for me. The Beast was slowly rusting away, so I found another body to give her life and the heart transplant is being done. Unfortunately, the suspension parts from the old car could not be used as the cars were based on different chassis. However, I have guys lined up for the parts for The Beast.

Rust is bad. Recycling parts is good. Glad to hear you were able to do some adjustments to make the best use of your
Beast. What does White Lightning refer to? Is the car White?

So what is the latest MINI count for the ALoha 500- did you get 6? At least two are MC right?

Yes, the 6er is white.

MINI count? Looks like it's @ 6 MINIs with a good mix of MC and MCS.

kbseto,

You were at the tech session on saturday. When they did your car wasn't there a paper that the mechanic was writing on ? That should be the paper you take with you to the Aloha 500. Signed by the inspecting mechanic and checked off under each of the categories.

Helmets? I borrowed one for the Spring Fling then bought one (basic) at the Honda motorcycle dealership on Nimitz not long after. About $150. For me!

You don't sweat right? Therefore no slim no grime

Wanna see something really scary? Eurasian Auto Go to the MINI section. Cross Drilled Zimmermans are only $53 front, $37 rear! Do I hear mod time for MINIhune?

They are very cheap for alot of parts and are good people to deal with!

Cheap yes. Not sure if I want to consider cross drilled over slotted rotors.
I was looking at Power Slot rotors front and rear. Considerably more expensive.
No pics of the Zimmermans!

Zimmermans are really cross drilled, instead the holes are cast into the rotor so it is much stronger.

The ATE's are actually made to TUV standards and the slots were meant as wear indicators, not for out gassing.

So are the holes cast (good) or drilled (not as good)?
I would consider them if they are cast.
Any pictures?

i used to get all my BMW goodies from Eurasian also. Quick, reasonable & reliable. I just put ferodo 2500 front & back on my MCS & changed fluid to motul for Aloha 500- rotors were to expensive for shipping so left stock ones on.

Thanks very much for the directions. Nice.
I checked the Minilani route. 14.49 miles and 19 minutes. Need a hotel? Just click on the button.
3 star hotels from $55, 4 stars from $110 and 5 stars from $199! What a bargain.
Similar to the cost of 4 Zimmerman cross drilled rotors for my baby! Minus shipping of course.
