Mini Club Of Hawaii (and hi to the board)
Autox and track events would be fun to attend. However, I'm not sure about the future of BMWCCH events.
Senior management at BMW Hono/MINI Hawaii are quite frustrated with the goings on at NAM. If you read my earlier posts, it was threatened that dealer support of DEs would be pulled. However, in a meeting with the new CCH President, Dennis Short agreed to fund Spring Fling and Aloha 500. The latest rumbling is that the dealer may back out of his agreement to fund the DEs as the climate at NAM has gotten a little more heated. Unfortunately, advertising has gone out with BMW of Honolulu as the sponsor of the event on posters, flyers and t-shirts. I guess the best thing is for them to "show me the money". I do feel bad about this as the dealer's attitude has stemmed from my problems and my being vocal about them.

The_Beastmaster,
Don't feel too bad about being vocal. It is your right and I applaud you for standing up for your rights!
It is reprehensible for your dealer to renege on their agreement to fund Spring Fling and Aloha 500. Was this a written agreement or verbal? Were there any witnesses to this agreement? Is your club willing to pursue legal remedies?
I have been following the goings on at Mini of Hawaii via NAM and MiniPooper.com and am so disgusted by it I have decided to sell my MCS before moving to Hawaii. I am not sure what I will purchase, but it will NOT be a Mini or BMW.

I'm not sure what is the current status of our event sponsors but I thought they were still good.

motorv8n,
Sorry to hear about your decision to sell your MCS. You are still invited to attend our events if you would like.
As long as you have an appreciation for MINIs and what wild things we do to make each one unique, I'm sure you'll have fun as we do.
Now, back to our originally scheduled program.
With the increasing sales of MINIs in Hawaii, this is probably time to round up the troops and get this club organized! If any of you are interested in starting this club, post here. There can be lots of activities such as driving events, social get togethers and DIY sessions. If you guys can think of it and are willing to help out, I'm sure it can be done.

Hi Arioch,
I'm so glad to see you here on NAM again! I believe the Hawaii MINI Motoring Club will be about having fun and meeting other fellow motorists.....definitely not about modding. Personally, I plan to be a very active member in the club and I own an MC which I plan not to mod at all (excluding minor exterior stuff). So don't worry about that....and don't worry about conflicts....I'm sure there will be many more events coming up real soon!
