iCruze Anyone?

I jumped on that monster iCruze deal. Looking at the directions, I'm not too sure I'll be able to handle the install. I think I could just live with the MP3 CD capabilities for now.

Just wondering if anyone here was thinking about getting it, cause I just got it today and you wouldn't have to wait. It came with the icruze factory interface module, interface cable, and icruze LCD display, purchased for $115.63 shipped (hopefully I won't lose too much).

basically montercable's version of an ipod adaptor. main difference is there's an lcd display you can mount for the song & artist info.

http://www.monstercable.com/icruze/

i emailed monstercable about returns, still no word yet. but maybe i'll give it a shot if i get stuck with it.

If you don't want to do the install yourself a local car audio shop will install it for you at an hourly rate ... and it will probably only take an hour. Around here that's $30 - $50. Considering this set up plus the display used to sell for $250 plus without installation, it's still a good deal.

if you can't return them, maybe you can look at the ones at CompUSA as spare parts?

IMO, i think because most newer cars has or can be upgraded with OEM adaptors that this might be something which has less demand then couple of years back. it could also be that they are blowing out the older model die to changes on the new ipods?
