i just saw the red top at costco for a $100. i figure that this looks pretty cheap...

but i think our MC/MCS uses group 47 size batteries. any clue what the kind of optima i can use?

 

On their sebsite they do not show one for Mini.

 

i know...this sucks. i saw it at sears also, i might give'm a call

bgrpph bought one from Costco a while back and put one in his MINI - ask him. It's the size that many on NAM bought and put in their MINIs too.

 

sears was no help. they just said "no, it's not in our system, we can't help you".

thanks dakine, i saw some that was the same size as the group 47 (international size) style.

 

believe there is only one size red top optima in costco-It's $105. # on battery is 75-35 or 75-135 i forget which- & don't remember the costco #-It fits the MCS with no issues. I've had mine for 6-8 weeks-. the hold down lip on bottom of optima battery is shaped a bit differently than the stock battery but the hold down strap worked fine. The Hi Kai costco had 3 or 4 this evening around 6pm-. It's hit or miss on finding these though as each store only has a few- Get it when you see it in the store or when you decide you want it they'll be out- happened to me twice now.
