The route has got to be "heart shaped" or it just won't be the same.
See what you started????
I sure hope it isn't storming or something that day.
Lets pick a scenic route and stop of a view. We can start at the dealership and meet at certain spots along the way. That way if we get separated we can regroup. Bring your family radios if you have them.

I heard that it's going up the Pali and we'll take the LikeLike back into town, but I'm not sure on the middle. They're mapping it this weekend to see how the timing is going to work with lights and such, so we don't lose anyone. After, the picnic will be at Central Oahu Park in Waipio.
 So far we have 32 RSVP's for the rally. Counting that and as history always tends to repeat itself, we will probably be 60+ strong.
"MINIAC" is the official Sweetheart rallymaster.
We will meet at MINI of Hawaii at 9:00am for "Chocolates for Breakfast" and leave at 9:45am.
Our first stop will be at the Pali "Lover's" Lookout for a 5 min. stretch and re-grouping.
We will then proceed down the Pali Hwy.(thru the 1st tunnel of love), onward to Kailua Road, taking a left on N.Kaleheo Ave.
The second 15 min. stop will be at the Aikahi Shopping Center. ( for xoxoxox or restroom break)
We will try to schedule a 10:45am leave time.
We will then head down Kaneohe Bay Drive, to the H-3 south thru the 2nd and 3rd tunnels of love.
Pro Bowl attendees may take the Aiea cutoff, while the main group will continue the rally and proceed on the H-1 westbound and then H-2 north.
Take the Ka Uka Blvd cutoff (Waipio COSTCO) and head straight to Waipio Central Regional Park.
See you all next week!
Aloha Motoring!

Thanks for the heads up!I ran the route Sunday and Kalaheo is all dug up and is down to one lane

The alternate route will be left on Oneawa to Kanui Dr. We might see some "duck" sightings

For those motorers arriving early, see the display from Eastsidemini in our showroom. There is and array of aftermarket accessories from filter kits to suspension components. My favorite though, is the hawaiian style bonnet stripes!

My usual navigator will be in the mainland but I will bring my mini-navigator twins
They love being back seat drivers in a MINI
Just a reminder, for those that have the Motorola style family radios, please bring them along so we can keep the caravan together.
Also, bring some folding chairs if you have 'em!
Kohu-
Hoping you'll be driving a MINI.
Also hoping for no rain.
An umbrella might be a good accessory.
Got any fresh AA batteries for extra Family Radios that I have?
Kbseto,
Call us on your cell if you can't see us passing you by.

hey keiki, sorry i rang you about mid-morning, as i didn't read this thread since friday. i tried joining in while they were coming down the pali, but got out a bit late. couldn't figure out which shopping center was aikahi and saw 4-5 minis coming back up to maunawili, while i was heading down into kailua town. that's about when i called you to see where you were. but before i knew you were at a b-day party.
anyways, i finally cruised down to oneawa, kalaheo h.s., and kaneohe bay drive. when i passed by the h-3 onramp a nice pedestrian with her son yelled out that i just missed a whole bunch of minis entering the h-3. so i turned around and flowed onto the h-3 only to eventually be passed by a few more stragglers and finally catching up to the pack about mid-way up to the tunnel.
lotsa new owners. including, i believe, another kitv news person.
afterwards, i continued on with my island drive, since i was already 1/2 around the island from my house. checked out a few surf spots and, of course, i stopped by to grind at ted's bakery in sunset. ordered my mahi sandwich with fries and while i waited had a slice of mac nut pie. didn't get back home til ~5pm. and i was pooped. but a great day for a drive!
