OK, looks like we will have a good turnout for this saturday if all goes well.
If you find a parking space and another space becomes suddenly empty-just throw yourself down on the oil spot to reserve the space for another MINI. The alternative would be an orange cone or something. A small child works well too but they don't fit as nicely into the boot as the cone does.

I guess it matters how large the cone or child may be.

hey that foto has some nice swells lining up along the coast.

btw, don't know if that sewage thing is solved yet. either way i wouldn't hop into the water anyways. only thing is i don't know if the sewage problem is noticeable thru the winds. depending on the direction of the breeze we may or may not have some aroma.

this is one reason why i try to stay away from kakaako. sometimes those returning ships just dump their stuff into the harbor area and the winds carry out the aroma back out to the surf lineup and parking lot.

kakaako, i'm much less familiar with.

just to let u guys know...my parents just went to compadres today for lunch. 2 for 1 deal supposedly that's running to celebrate their 20th anniversary. coupons can be had by just calling up or going down to compadres and asking. don't if there's a limit as to how many per table can be used.

and this is good 7 days a week supposedly.

It's good to stay out of the water when the fishing boats come back in and start to chum the water with their leftover bait!

Gee, I would hate to be surfing or in the water and be mistaken for bait by some hungry large swimming predators. Do the boats even care about safety to others when they come back in or maybe dispose of leftovers a little early out beyond the areas with people?

I'll bring my binoculars and take a look this saturday.

I'll be there! I dropped by the park this last Saturday to see if I could find it. I never knew that park was there, and I was just amazed at how nice it is! It will be a great place for a MINI meet.

Glad you can make it MINIangelD!

Looks like I'll be able to make it too. I've been really busy the last month or so. Thanks for setting this up.

That's great, it's been a long time since we have seen you.
Don't forget to bring your MINI!
We knew you wouldn't.
We now have enough MINIs to take over about a quarter of one side of the parking lot. Maybe we can park two deep to save space!!!

I just found out I've got a shiatsu appointment from 10:30a - 11:30a, so I'll get out in enough time to pick up something to eat and meet you folks there at 12p. I might not get a chance to wash my MINI, though.

Just be careful about the parking in that small lot. It may appear that the MINIs are taking over the lot and some people may be offended, especially if you are saving space or hogging two spaces. The lot with a vast amount of parking is down the road. Just be careful and respectful as there are some rough characters that hang around at the small lot.

Beastmaster,
You look pretty rough with the eye patch and dagger in your teeth. Oops, that's just your avatar. Darn!
Indeed we may need to move our "party" to the other parking lot if the right conditions prevail.
Parking could be very tight over at the "view" lot.
Thanks for the heads up.

I only know where the large parking lot is....I don't know where the small one is. I'll take a look at the "view" lot first when I get there, if no parking, I'll check out the larger lot.

Sure mini-t. That'll be fun! I got dibs on the human skeleton model, though!

Just to make things less complicated, let's just go ahead and meet in the big parking lot. We're sure to have lots of space.

Again...just to refresh everyone's memory, this is happening on Saturday (which for me is tomorrow) at 12 noon at the Kaka`ako Waterfront Park BIG parking lot.

Like mini-t says bring someting to sit on, bring your lunch, and an appetite to talk story with other local mini enthusiasts. Oh, and don't forget your cash so that you can take home all of mini-t's great stuff!

Hope to see a BIG fun group of MINI people tomorrow!

I have a view of Diamond Head from my upstairs room here in Mililani ... and I can't see it right now due to rain somewhere downtown. The weather website I checked also said it is raining.

I am sorry ... but I am unwilling to drive all that way if it looks like it is raining. I was really looking forward to seeing y'all again, too.

Hopefully we will have hot, sunny weather for the next MINI meet. My apologies for not coming to this one.
