Love it! I run a winter tire setup of winter sottozero 3’s on track spokes for my JCW and it’s a little beast through the snow. I’m sure the gp3 is a riot.

I read this article and thought this is great, however, if I understood the article correctly on the Motoring file you must purchase special wheels as well! Tell me it aint so Joe.

Hot off of our article praising the virtues of winter tires, MINI has released something special for JCW GP owners in the form special winter tires. The Winter i*cept evo 2 tires (195/45 R18 87H XL) come with unique 18” wheels that mimic the design of the original albeit in matte black and one inch smaller. They’re also 30mm narrower which gives the GP a bit of a WRC Swedish Rally look.

Keeping Lucille on a salt free diet. She's in hibernation from November 1st to April 1st.

I could not find these tires anywhere (I guess they are out of production)... but I put some Falken FK460s (UHP AS) on my GP3 handling actually is pretty decent with them. Even though I had to go to 225/40/18. I don't plan to seek out snow storms or go out when it's bad, but if I get caught in bad weather the Falkens will be better than the stock summer tires in the snow.
