Hi to everyone.
Want to put lightweight rims for track use.
Found few photos of 7*17 OZ rims (Alleggerita and Ultraleggera) on GP2 but no info about offset.
Can anyone pls tell me what size do I need to install on GP2 with 215/45michelin cup 2 tyres without spacers and other issues? They come with ET44, ET37 and ET30..
215/45michelin cup 2 tyres ...
And btw is 7 wide enough? (Stock comes in 7,5)
7 is plenty wide enough for 215s. 7" is the typical "measured rim width" for a 215 - if it's on a wider rim, the actual measured width will be wider than the 8.4" section width. fwiw.
you can see the specifics (tirerack is usually very good at providing the specs) - 7 to 8" width range, (you can go narrower or wider, but that's what the mfr would prefer), and measured on a 7" width.

it always depends on the specific wheel - the shape of the inside of the spoke area can play a large part in offset vs spacer - it's primarily the front brake caliper we're trying to clear on the GP2.
My experience with a 17x7 OZ record, ET 44, needed 6mm front spacers to clear the brake. I stacked 2 3mm to do that, and used 5mm on the rear. that made it an effective ET 38 in the front. (edited: I needed to recheck my brain. smaller positive ET == outside of the wheel further from the hub)
The stock wheel is a 7.5 ET 45 - but offset calculators are usually focused on the strut and fender lip clearance for comparisons.
this one does a pretty good job of visualizing, even if the spacer selections are crazy limited... you can add/subtract from the offset, though, to figure it out. a spacer is negative offset (moving the wheel mounting position closer to the center of the wheel, which is where 0 offset is)
these are the gp2 replica calipers from Bmw performance kit
During practice fit prior to paint, oz et37 with 215/45/17 Yokohama ado8r
These are very square shouldered tyres so I expect you will be ok with others at the same spec
given The choice I would get et37 for fronts and et 44 for rears if buying new. But happily running et37 on all 4 corners
et 44 will need spacers for fronts and et30 is far too wide without “racing camber” if lowered
From what I could find, same person tried two different sets of rpf1 et35 on his gp2, one fit without spacers and other did not. Seems clearances are so little. You will probably need spacers for good measures.
