GP Mods
GP Mods
I have had GP 0927 since the end of October and I have made the usual non-performance mods such as installing the Euro Parcel Shelf, GP Mats etc., as well as a couple of original ones:
1. Mounted a Halon Fire Extinguisher on the Luggage Bar baby seat anchor tab. The tab looks silly otherwise and it is useless if you don't have any little nippers to restrain.
2. Added discrete "Bertone" badges to the lower rear fenders. These 2000 GPs were hand-assembled by Bertone in Turin, after all, and there really should me some recognition of that fact.
Let me know what you GPers think.

It is the badge used on the Opel / Vauxhall Astra Coupe and Cabriolet that are built by Bertone. The badge is made in Italy (of course) and has a GM part number: 9195247. Available at Opel dealers in Europe and Vauxhall dealers in the U.K. Includes backing tape. There is a lso a stylized "B" on the Astra but it would be overkill on the GP IMHO.

I have 2 of these badges which I got from Germany but won't be using. They are metal with 2 mounting posts. Since you won't be drilling mounting holes in your Mini, you could cut the posts off and use mounting tape. The 2 badges that I have are brand new, never mounted. If you want them, make me an offer.
