Is The GP Compatible With XMDIRECT???

I need hand holding here people (friends). I want XMDIRECT in my GP and I am willing to do it myself. Has anyone in the USA put this into their GP? Can anyone tell me: I need to know exactly what I need to buy and would like some install instructions/pictures? I have searched postings but can't seem to put the puzzle together.

I pick up GP1292 tomorrow!! :impatient :impatient :impatient

Thanks in advance!!

Just look in the boot to see if you got the the cd changer wiring (panel on the right side). If the wiring is there, your golden

Right, chow4us......that should do it! I can look tomorrow when I get my eager little hands on my GP! Add a blitz safe adaptor and you're good to go.

I've already checked it out. The only wiring that's back there is the wiring for the lights.

Me too! I still would like to know if any GP owner has installed XM and if so; what is needed?

There are ONLY two things I do not like about my GP. The noise in the back is too much (rather have the weight in sound protection) AND the stereo system is less than needed. HK would have been better.

Otherwise.....it is one sweeeeeet ride for sure..... WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You might want to call Tom over at europeanautosource.com. He helped me with the Dice iPod adapter for my '06 M-coupe and I just ordered the iPod adapter for my GP yesterday from him.

Hope this helps.

Hate to sound ignorant but I guess I is. I can't find any "loose" adapter in the right hand compartment but there is a type of connection bolted to the body, is that it or some kind of ground????

You could always go the aux input route.

I went by the dealership today and found out that my GP does not have a plug in for the cd player and the other connection is obviously a ground connection. The connection for the disc player in one of the new cars at the dealership was just a small connector attached to the main wires with a little tape. Looks like I will have to use the aux. from the stereo.
