I loved the shark fin antenna on my '03. The long antenna is silly looking (in the '05) and out of place on the GP. How difficult is to put a shark fin on the GP? How the chances to find an original one?

PS: Please refrain from comments about changing the look of the GP (which seems to affect more non-GP owners than us)

 

My understanding was that the shark fin antenna was for the GPS only and that the radio antenna was located in the glass of one of the windows.

Certainly, you could put the shark fin up there, but it would not be functional for radio.

And go ahead and change the look any way you want to. . . it's just a car that is meant to be driven. If you wanted a return on your money since the GP unveiling at MTTS, you'd have invested in the stock market. . .

 

Why not take off the long antenna and replace with a stubby? You wont even notice its there

Hi, I have a 2009 JCW Clubman. Does anyone know where I can buy a shark fin antenna with XM/SIRIUS /GSM/GPS/AM/FM reception? Thanks guys!

 

I found a used shark fin on ebay. The diversity FM array works decent, I lost pretty much all AM reception.

 

It is kind of a PITA but you have to melt solder points and re-solder to new antennae, but looks great and even better when functional with oem Sirius.
