Do you mind if I ask how much are the GP wheels? Don't know why, but they look better in other MINIs

Did you keep quiet about the wheel change when you went to the MINI to see if people noticed? lol

While they will work, the bolts were changed.

Her's ran about $33,000 for the set... It wasn't a bad deal though, they came with a free car.

Yes, the bolts are changed. The statement was that the wheels will work.

Search ebay UK, they are selling clone GP wheels now. I expect them to appear here in a clone once regular delivery starts for the GP in the US.

Thanks! That is true.

Just noticed your location changed from DC to NorCal, why didn't I see you at Monterey? I always have a hug for my DCMM friends.

That's true, but he was asking how much she paid for her wheels!

I was in stealth mode.

Actually I didn't get in to Monterey until Friday afternoon after just about everybody left the track so I missed the delivery cermony and getting my paddock pass. It was either that or show up with a dirty MINI, and we all know that just wouldn't do!

I spent most of Saturday with Todd doing WRR stuff including riding shotgun in his GP during the "controversial" parade laps. Had to come back home Saturday afternoon because I had to work on Sunday. In all I think I was at the track for 5 hours over both days and completely missed the Concours on Sunday.

If you can talk a parts counter in to selling you a GP wing, it will be around $2000. And since you'll lose your third brake-light you'll need to find a GP style rear hatch as well. Then add paint and all the various fittings and you'll probably talking 4-5k.

FYI: Here are a couple of mods I have made.

Replaced the antenna with a stubby because the original rubbed the
CF wing when the boot is open.
Package shelf so I have more places to stick stuff.
