SE Fla service?

Totally tired of the dealership, need a good independent shop to do few odds n ends on the car before she goes up for sale. Brakes, AC need some tweaking, pretty much it. Been a great great car, ball to drive, but the time has come to move to something different and I want to make sure it's ready for the next owner.

So, who you guys using out there? Fell free to PM or email if you don't want to post something good, bad or ugly. Thanks for the help!!

There's always Precision Auto Werks, which is close to MIA, Luis is a really nice guy and he'll be completely honest with what you need and don't need, and he's fair with his pricing as well. A LOT cheaper than the dealership.

LOL, Melbourne is more central Fla to this Miami boy, but looks like a cool place.

Cheerio, I went by there this AM. Lots of cars (their race Mini is dang cool) and noise in the shop, but the gate and door was locked. I figured maybe they were out for a test ride or something, I'll swing by again. Thanks for the rec!

Ah yeah, when the fence is closed it's cause he's out on a test drive, his other mechanic was probably there. If you go again and it's closed you can just wait around, the test drives don't usually take more than around 20 minutes. If anything just call out and his other mechanic might come out, he's a nice guy and will let you in so you can sit in the office with the A/C

Have had my GP for a couple of months now. Not trying to hijack the thread here--Also interested in shops in southern VA--near Hampton Roads.

Isn't their a thread somewhere that gives suggestions for independent shops for all 50 states? If not, would like to make that suggestion. Would even help make the list w/ some help. I think it would be a valuable resource for those of us who don't want to pay "stealership" prices all of the time. and possibly closer to home as well.

??
