The fact that this was a wrecked GP with extensive rear damage makes me feel better about the conversion. I would rather see this conversion happen than see the GP rot in a junk yard.

I would love to see the interior and inside the bed.

The pickup back end is for all the hair gel the owner will need - you could probably fit 1000 bottles back there.

Absolutely horrific. It's amazing to see what weird ideas people will spend gobs of money on.

It was at Lowes in Daytona and when I came back out of the store the guy had 2 by 4's sticking out the passenger window as he pulled out of the parking lot.

At least this Mini Truck is clean and not going to turn into a piece of junk like the one I saw. Plus--- This guy can haul the lumber in the bed of this truck.

I think it is a pretty nice conversion and done well. It's not like this is a butcher job. I personaly like Hot Rod's and custom cars and this one is included. I have actually seen a grown man cry because he sold his totaly stock 34 buick to a guy that chopped it up and made a great street rod out of it.

This guy has the ONLY GP pick-up in the world. Unique. Only one. I think he's got a collector's item.

There are many, many, many "uniquely" modified cars out there... one man's junk, another's treasure.

Would be funny as hell if it was the first GP to actually go UP in value

"vomit with rage" was my favorite until I got to "use a Ming Dynasty vase as a bedpan"

thanks for the belly laugh!

a casual observer might say some of us are purist, most are passionate, and all of us are bonkers!

no comment on the doors - politics, religion and personal choice for Minis are all topics I would not debate...

I'm aware of that, some here are not aware of mini history, what we now call classic's.
Sure enough is a nice salvage job on a wreck and as someone said glad it's not rotting in a junk yard somewhere. The bodywork man gets a two !
I would have left the doors alone though.

If the owner is happy with it, then it's not a waste of money

Aside from the lambo doors that is awesome !!! I applaud that dude for being different and thinking for himself.

There are 1999 other GPs still 'stock'.

This is the cover story in Modern Mini this month.

It is NOT a wrecked car. He bought it second hand with the full intention of turning it into a truck. Dude owns another GP as well.

This one is #0858.

He also owns a Porsche 997 Turbo Carbio, an Audi RS4 and a new Nissan GTR; not to mention 12 motorcycles. Sounds like he's got enough money to build whatever he wants and he likely knows enough about cars to do it right.

I think it's great.

Lots of money doesn't buy taste, that's for sure.

What doesn't make sense is that the GP was fairly unique by itself. It's special. If you're going to use a Mini in some frankencar project, why use such a rare ingredient? It's like using a $3000 whiskey to make a Whiskey Sour... just seems a waste.

"Lots of money doesn't buy taste." How true...I've found there's usually in inverse relationship.

Well...

Seems like his plan worked great, the car was built to raise attention for his company.

Its getting enough attention that you guys posted it here and were so concerned that you looked up information about him.

Job well done on his part.

Paris Hilton made a bit of a splash with her "private" video - all publicity is good publicity, right?

To me, it looks like a well-executed mod, but I would have saved the money spent on the lambo doors. That's a little too ricey.

I think people overreact too much

So what if he wants to cut up a GP and make it into a pickup, it's his car it's his money, if he's happy then what's wrong?
