I live in West Covina, might be the one I spotted in Ikea, it has a aero kit front bumper right?

The guy is on the forums, I talked to him before.

Hey guys, it couldn't have been me. I went back to stock GP front bumper! Yea, I paid all that money to have my arches color coded and apparently I got a sub par job. The paint ended up cracking and peeling so I took the car to the body shop and they ordered the original arches and put them back on. Lesson learned; if you paint the arches on a MINI, get brand new ones and take it to someone that has done the job before. Well, I ended up putting the GP front bumper back on my car because it's going to be for sale soon.

Well it's not totally sad. I'm not selling because I don't like the car anymore. I love the GP, I think it is one of the greatest configurations of a MINI out there, but I drove something else recently and fell in love all over again; Porsche. I'm 21 years old so I can't afford to keep the wonderful GP and get the Porsche that I am dying to get. Plus, I don't think the financial services would even allow me to own 2 cars on credit, well, maybe for 20% interest But I need a low interest rate.
I haven't posted up anything official on the sale of my GP yet because I am trying to complete a number of things to the car beforehand. I'm just not the type of person to go put a for sale sign on a car like the GP and say, "take it as it is". I want to have the car cleaned up and completely serviced to a like new condition. I'm even contemplating re-upholstering the seats because they have sustained significant wear. When the time comes I will definitely put the first "For Sale" post on NAM. Hopefully i'll get a bite.

Hmmm, I am pretty sure I wasn't near El Monte that day so it must have been a different GP.
The Porsche in question, that I am lusting over(reminiscent of the days just prior to buying the GP ) is the Cayman S. More specifically, the Meteor grey Cayman S with 19" Turbo wheels and an all red leather interior. Yea, I have been toying around quite a bit on the Porsche configurator(Also very reminiscent of the months leading up to the delivery of my first MINI, before GP). I did a test drive a week ago at the dealership and I swear it felt like we blew a half gallon of company gas. I was not reserved whatsoever in my testing of the car; we took it on the freeway and I really opened it up. It is such an amzing machine. I can't wait to get one. I feel it is a very honorable upgrade from a MINI GP. I am definitely going to miss things like AMVIV and MTTS and just the overall wonderful feeling of owning a MINI but I gotta have this Porsche. Plus I am not leaving MINI forever, no way! When my wallet permits me down the road in a few years I'll get another MINI for sure. I love these little cars.

Sooooo Myke, you interested in a GP?

Oh I would LOVE, and I mean Love a 911 Turbo. But I can't afford one yet. I will have a 911 someday. Not yet though. My favorite is the 911 GT3 RS. Plus, I really love the Cayman and it's a great price for still a great Porsche, especially once it is optioned up a bit. Anyways, for the sake of argument, how much for said used 2007 911 turbo???

Wellllllll, I'm afraid that tow hook stays with the GP. But, believe it or not, you probably already have a tow hook in your possession. Check in your boot next to the battery. There's a little styrofoam box and it has a couple tools and an unpainted tow hook. Just needs a little sanding, primer and luscious red paint.

This is going to sound steep, but, $32,000 is the price for this GP.

I still owe a little more than $32K on it, but I really don't want to come out of my pocket to sell it. Reason why I am still at $32K is because when I got this GP in December of 2006, I think it was like 1 out of 5 left of the unsold GPs in the US. So, the dealer was selling it for $42,000!!! Yea, a $10K markup... Either way, I ended up bargaining it down to about $38K,

No problem, just thought I would put it out there. It has Ceramic brakes (Yellow Calipers), Carbon Package, and its manual. It only has 3,200 miles on it. Hes gunna be asking around a $120k.

Wow, it sounds like a real beautiful Porsche. Thats about $50K more than I'm ready to spend right now. I'm probably going to option the Cayman S up to about $70-$75K. If I could afford $120K, I think I'd go for the 911 GT3. I Love that body style so much.

We pass by that intersection almost every day on our way to Pasadena.
