what can I expect to pay?
I'm in the market for a new car, or will be soon, probably in the next 3 months. I love the looks and the performance of the GP, and the fact that it is very rare. That draws me to the car. I'm curious to know what I can realistically expect to pay for one.
Also, if I finance part of the money, how does your bank pull the vehicle up. I've given my bank the VIN on a couple of them, and it doesn't pull up anything about it being a GP, but rather a MCS. So they normally only show retail to be $22-24K. Any ideas?

I don't know much about the regular banks and how they decide to help you finance, but, I DO know that if your looking for a car in the next 3 months and you like a GP, I might be in the market to sell mine in the next few months... I think that from what I have seen the GPs selling for as of late, you can realistically look to spend about $30K... Maybe a few thousand more probably not much less though. Based on that information, if I do end up selling my GP, I don't want to make any profit. I just want to come clean on the loan. So, It just so happens that my loan is through BMW financial services, and they already know the value of the car and if you have decent(>700) credit or can get a co-signer, I can transfer title and you can Refi in your name...
My GP has over 40K miles right now, I took delivery of it brand new on December 15, 2006. And, in the next week or two the bonnet, front bumper, and all the arches and rear bumper are getting completely re-painted fresh and new. Well, I suppose I'm getting in to the details too much too soon but I thought I'd share just in case your interested....
I am in Redlands, California BTW.
