Waited a long time for this car, in this color. 1/03 MCS, had it about a year, slowly making it mine.

Wow, this thread has been buried a long time. Nice job sweeping out the cobwebs.
Good find and a fine looking motor, MC

Pure Silver is such a great colour, still regret selling mine (although I do have first refusal from the current owner if he decides to sell).

Cooper bumpers on my S, S bumpers on T's Cooper...how it should have come from the factory, IMO.

Here's our 2008 S we bought in August 2012 (with just under 31K miles on it.) Photo when we bought it and with the Thule racks as a mountain bike hauler. It was incredibly clean when we bought it - not a nick, scratch or dent. You could have eaten off of it. The original owner was a fastidious older guy who took amazing care of it. When we bought it, it felt more like an "interview" to make sure we'd take care of his baby. Since we bought it, the only "mods" we've done are add the racks (since I do a lot of mountain biking) and some rubber floor mats. It has the upper end leather with the white piping inside.

We just about sold it last week in favor of a 2011 Clubman, but to me the Clubman just doesn't look "right." Instead, we decided to keep ours (now 42K miles) and do some exterior modifications. He (Steve) goes in for window tint and black bonnet stripes next week and the plasti-dip kit for the wheels arrives Friday. We're going to do the metallic anthracite with a gloss coat. Should look nice. I can't decide on blackjack mirror caps or checkerboard, but that's another mod we're planning. (I own about 4 or 5 pairs of Vans, so I'm partial to checkerboard, but I don't think it looks as good on the PS as it does on other color Coopers.) I'll post more pics as it continues to be modded.

The latest

As of last night. Plasti-dipped rims, new tint, stripes and the full rack system. (And a gratuitous R56S Go-badge.) I like the tint and stripes; not a fan of the anthracite rims. Good thing is that Plasti-dip peels right off. He goes in Saturday for new H&R springs and Koni sport shocks. The K&N typhoon intake arrives tomorrow.

On the short list for the near future are either Breyton rims or the NM RSe-05 rims in silver. I don't really like the stock crown spoke rims. I had considered going with the gunmetal for the NM rims but, after dipping the wheels darker, I don't think dark rims look that good on the pure silver, especially with the full chrome package and color-matched roof.

Finally decided on new rims. I re-plasti-dipped the wheels black, but I wasn't really happy with the look of the black rims with the pure silver. Looks good with other colors, but since my PS also has the chrome package, I wanted something complementary. I opted for the ASA AR1 over the Breyton or NM rims due purely to cost considerations. I really like the mesh spoke look over the crown spoke.

Hey everyone! New just got my first mini this month and I am loving it. It's a triple pure silver (body/roof/mirrors) 05 MCS. I just finished reading this entire thread and I have seen several cars with my same rear clip. I am curious as to what it is. I will post one photo here and more are in my profile. Thanks!

I assume you mean the bumper and the rest of the body kit. If so, it looks like the OEM aero kit.
