I like your way of thinking. That would be the nicest looking MINI meetup ever! No offense to my MINI bretheren of different hues. But imagine this: You look down the street and off in the distance you see some bitchin' PW/PW and PW/B MINIs cruising toward you. Methinks that would make even other MINI owners stand in awe of the regalness of our classy cars.

I do agree that it would be nice to get a bunch of us together for a photo op, so hopefully that can occur. Now, since you brought it up, I'm going to have to talk about a drive that will be happening at Minis in the Mountains this August. They're calling it a Color Run and I think the idea is to encourage color grouping on one of the drives. So they're going to encourage all the reds to group, all the pepper whites and so on. Then again, with as freeform as rides are up at MITM, there's no saying that we couldn't make our own run sometime with or without the other colors.

As this is the next national event (other than the regional MTTS events) I think this is a chance to get together if we're so inclined. Anyone coming up to Colorado in August?

Sport Stripes OEM or Aftermarket?

I want the sport stripes on the bonnet, roof and boot of my new PW/W MCSm.

I understand that the OEM sport stripes are installed at the VPC.

My question is, should I buy the OEM stripes or get them aftermarket? Why?

If you have the sport stripes on your PW/W, could you share please?

I would say do aftermarket. The factory ones have a gap at the edges, plus you have no control on placement (besides bonnet stipes or sport). I went after market and it allowed me to have the edges tuck and wrap around for a seamless look, plus I got to pick the width of the gap between the stipes and pick stipes that I liked.

Suggestions, anyone?

Thanks, those are all great points!
I'm leaning towards the style shown below

Yeah its similar to what I have...mine just has another pin stripe on each side of the stripes

They add a nice/aggressive look...also you can decide if you want the stipes to continue all the way down the bumpers too

Yeah, aggressive is what I'm going for . Jury is still out on rear bumper, probably front only like the pics for me. Aesthetic Creations is here where I live, so I can get them to do the install as well.

The last time I asked about something similar I received a PM with information. Looks like there's a cafepress store selling PW peerage things, though I've not bought from them and cannot speak to the quality. One thing they offered was a magnet, 2.5 inches across I believe it said.

Anyone that's interested can go have a look for yourself.

I'll also talk to our local club officers to inquire about how they've done such things in the past (cost, quantity, vendor, etc). If it's reasonable I may need to get something made.

This is the OFFICIAL Pepper White Owner's Club store and directly from me, the designer of all the original Owner's Club Badges. It's cafepress so the quality should be good. At least you won't have my hand cut magnetic edges to stare at anymore...

I do have one (1) original magnetic Pepper White Owner's Club badge left in stock if anyone is interested.

PW/PW Sport Stripe pics please...

I am getting the sport stripes & roof stripes on my 08' PW/PW MCSm. I have been unable to find good member pics of this exact setup. For any of you that have the same setup, could you please post some pics of your ride?

Thanks in advance,
Greg

Consiedr it done. I've added you to my last list.

Incidentally my GF is waiting on the delivery of her own Cooper as well, it's on the Undine and I believe that the boat is in the Gulf of Mexico just now. She's not going to have PW, but instead the new blue color... whichever it is (lightning blue?). She's probably going to be taking delivery about the same time as you, so I know how you're feeling now that it's around the corner. Congrats and welcome!

I'll take #110, because I take the 110 shortcut to work every morning (i.e.- I drive 110mph to get there)!

Hi drummergirl, I have my PW/PW MCSm on order, and I'm getting the sport stripes as well. I saw your rear pic of the stripes. Do you happen to have any new pics showing the bonnet stripes, or the roof (assuming you had the roof done). Are you glad you got the sport stripes? Do you get many "looks"?

Thanks in advance,
Greg

Hey Tweeckey, do you have any pics of your car with the sport stripes? How much did you end up paying for the VPC to install them?

Hi SuperGreg!

ManilaRice has the exact same exterior of the MINI you want so here's his link and check his gallery out!

https://www.northamericanmotoring.com/forums/showthread.php?t=98564&highlight=ManilaRice

I will be picking up my MINI hopefully today but mine is a justacooper, but I will post pics nevertheless. They charged me $190 for the whole thing. I did a thread here about it asking if it was too much, and from what I've gathered, it's a fair amount. Others got charged a lot more!

Pics coming soon!
