Got a good day trip in yesterday in Scoop. Seeing that gorgeous PW/PW glinting in the sun, dappled with shade from trees, with the foothills and skyline of Pasadena in the background. . . Well, I simply LOVE my car and that classy, classy color!

Thanks for sharing your pride and enfatuation with Scoop. I'll bet you're like me -- you can't park it and walk away without turning around to take a look...and then you find yourself fighting that involuntary s-eating grin and then your jaw begins to hurt and you end up just giving into it.

It's not hard for those other folks watching to figure out what we're smiling about anyway!

I know exactly what you all mean. I can't take my eyes of my little PW...even after having her for 6 weeks.

Sadly, however, I haven't washed Wilhelmina in two weeks . I feel terrible about it. It's been drizzling, so she's pretty dirty--streaks and water spots on her racing stripes. I've just been so busy...she deserves better.

I was just notified that the Charleston VDC released my PW to the carrier - ETA in KC early next week - can't wait! It's only been since Aug 28th, but it seems like months!

I'm pretty certain those are the John Cooper Works 18" double spoke wheels. Awesome choice! I'm trying to work out a deal with my MA to 'buy back' my stock 16" S-Winders before I take delivery so I can those JCW's in black.

 

Yep, crazy would actually be an understatement but at least things seem to be taking a turn for the best now. Thank you very much for the kind words, they mean a lot. See my gallery for pics my MA sent pre-bonnet stripes and wheels.

 

im glad everything turned out alright and you are safe...that would seriously be my worst nightmare but atleast we can all rest easily knowing our beloved MINI will keep us safe at all costs...mine is actually supposed to be done tomorow i really hope i make the liberty that leaves 10/12...but i may not and hopefully then the courage that leaves 10/20...but i reallyyyyyy want liberty so i can have it!! haha

 

Hi all,
Would love to post pics of my new mini but unfortunately I had to take her to the service department. I picked her up on Friday night 10/5 everything was fine while my MA went over the car with me. I drove maybe two miles to a friends house stopped to show them but when I restarted her she wouldn't idle and the car was bucking like a horse. The dealership was closed by then so I drove her home. The next morning the same thing happened and the check engine light was on too. So I took her back Sunday night. I'm still waiting to here what is wrong. Have any of you experienced this kind of engine problem? You can imagine how I feel after tracking her and patiently waiting to be able to drive her. I'm bummed!! I'll keep you all posted on what I find out.

That does suck...i think ive read something about that but i really dont remeber so i dont want to give any false info....they did give you a loaner right? I think as long as you get to drive a mini as your baby is fixed thats fine....i sure wish they gave loaners while you wait for yours to come in im just dying to drive one this will be my first one

Thanks! I'm quite glad as well and it's definitely bolstered my faith in the MINI. My parents had concerns about the crash worthiness of such a small car but I think those have been put to rest now. But congrats on your baby's imminent birth!!!! I sooo remember being in that boat just a couple months ago. Don't worry, the time won't drag by too slowly. In what state will you be taking delivery?
