Welcome all, I'm back from the Dragon and was thrilled by all the fabulous PWs!
Explanation of the numbers......
Hmmm, well many,many moons ago there was great silliness in the claiming of NAM numbers. It was decided that the PWs would also need numbers. Not just any numbers, but non-sequential numbers of ones own choosing. Thus the Peerage of the Pepper White was formed.

The numbers mean absolutely nothing, they just are.

I'm the guy from the UK that you met while checking out at Fontana Village on Sunday, and eventually followed you back to Atlanta!... Completely enjoyed the ride, and looking at a PW MINI for hours!...

The first pic below is my UK MINI, and the last pic is my US MINI... The middle is the UK MINI showing the steering wheel on the other side... The UK MINI is a stock '05 Cooper S, but the US MINI is and '06 Cooper S that has had many improvements, and it was perfect for MOTD!...

I've had the UK MINI for 1.5 years, and picked up the US MINI last Thursday, before driving up to MOTD... I'm really pleased with the US MINI, and am seriously thinking of shipping it to the UK, to use for Europe!...

It was great to meet you on Sunday, and thanks for the escort back to Atlanta!...

Gary, you are one lucky man to be sure! A MINI on both sides of the pond, what more could you want??
I love the grey bonnet stripes on the UK MINI, they look stupendous. The black scoop is really a nice touch, I looked on ebay, but couldn't find any. What do I search for?
It was great motoring back to Atlanta with you, PM me next time you come to town to visit your MINI. There are some great drives in the North Georgia mountains and a bunch of the Atlanta MINI folks are always up for an impromptu drive (even on weekdays, occassionally).

You said you like green... I have a new scoop in primer that I can send to you... I haven't painted it yet, and it's genuine BMW MINI... When you look at the ones on ebay, make sure they are genuine because sometimes they may not fit as nicely... It only takes about 10 minutes to change, and I put towels over the engine in case I drop any screws... Just send me a PM if you want me to send it...

Gary, no we don't have the number on our cars (not that I've seen anyway). Some of us (me, for example) have a PW Owner grill badge. Maybe a Peerage number would be a good idea. I was thinking about removing my MINI USA number since no one really uses or refers to them, but a Peerage number might be a good replacement.
Gary, maybe you should explain the madness behind the red nose day in the UK for those who haven't heard of it.

I'll try to explain, but not sure how well I'll do... I know the basics, and have details of what we did, so here goes...

The background of the red nose on my MINI is that our club had originally planned a Christmas Run, so I got a red bonnet scoop to be 'Rudolph', and lead the way... I was called away to Boston for a month for work, and wasn't in the UK for Christmas, so I never got to do the Christmas run through central London...

But, luckily, Red Nose Day was not far away, so it still served it's purpose... I had it on the MINI for over a month before the event...

I hope I explain this this next part properly...

Red Nose Day was organised to raised money for disadvantaged people in the UK and Africa, and it's also called Comic Relief... Lots of the most popular comedians prepare special shows, or special appearances to raise money... There are lots of events during the week, but most of the big shows happened on Friday, March 16th... They gave out big red ears this year, and foam red noses at stores to raise money...

We originally planned to drive from Central London to Brighton, from one Comedy Club to another, and then see a show... But, we planned it for a Sunday, and seeing a show in the evening in Brighton, and driving back on back roads for hours was alot to ask some members of the club... We decided to start at one of the rest stops along the southern portion of the M25, Clackets Lane, and take the 'A' roads from there to Brighton... We stopped for pictures at Devils Dyke, and for pictures along Madeira Drive in Brighton, before we had a meal at the Wharf in Brighton... We didn't make it to the comedy club in Brighton, but managed to collect donations along our way...

I should say that it was a very proud day to be Pepper White MINI with a Red Nose, and seem to look like a clown... All the kids pointed and yelled when they saw us, and understood exactly what was going on...

I will also add that one of our older members, Barney (with a beard), was dressed as a woman for a laugh, to walk along the beach and say 'I'm a lady!', as in Little Britain... He was behind me a few times in his Black Eyed Purple MINI and I still have that image in my head in my rear view mirror!...
